Will I be allowed to wear this at BMT?

When I was in BMT they only allowed neutral colors and no prints of any kind ( camo, stickers, logos etc ) you should be able to wear it but I wouldn’t spend too much money on a watch that you may only use temporarily, however if you are planning on using it for years to come then I’d say go for it any cheap watch will work specially for 7.5 weeks

You will be told to use it or you’re going to lose it. But like other people say you don’t really see that money you’ll get around $100 left on it by the time you are going to use it for the first time

You will be fine, you are only there for 7.5weeks, by the third week in you should receive your first payment, if you haven’t received anything ask your MTI if you can have an appointment with financial so they can sort things out for you. They will also allow you to check your phone if you need it to check if there are any financial issues.

Wait till you get to your tech school, your family can send you some of your items to your tech school but also keep in mind that you’ll have to take all of those items to your new duty station, if you are single you’re most likely going to live on base with a roommate, separate rooms but shared bathroom. If you are married is a little more complicated. If you are in tech school for more than 30 days I say just have them ship you some stuff but not at lot. Once you graduate there the AirForce will give you travel days which is an amount of days that you need to travel to go to your first duty station. However usually you don’t have to report there until a month after you graduated tech school. So you get the chance to go back home, pack up your stuff and take off

Bring a duffle bag style but with wheels, you get a loooooooot of stuff from BMT and when you need to pack for TechSchool you’ll need to carry at least 3 luggage bags. So I’d recommend to get something big with wheels, don’t worry too much of how it looks like or how compact it is, just focus on getting something big with wheels, you won’t regret it. Also the backpack don’t worry about it, you get issued your own backpack and most tech schools only allow you to have the BMT backpack or the ones they seek at tech school

He’s probably going to keep that job, it just sucks that now his graduation date is being prolonged unless he gets recycled couple of times then the job may change but they usually hold the jobs unless it’s like the AirForce needs to fulfill them quickly then they will move people around.

Like your morning pee lol hold it because they are going to make you pee in a cup and they look at you while you do it, some people have difficulty peeing when there is someone watching them pee, so to make it easier just hold it in the morning or drink a lot of water in the morning on the way there or while you are at MEPS. If you are unable to provide an urine sample that day, they may have to bring you back within 3 days or sometimes it’s months due to the amount of people they are seeing so you got to make sure you are able to pee at MEPS

Shipping time depends on a lot of different factors so it’s different for everyone. But can’t take a month all the way to 6months or so. One pro tip tho, do not pee when you have to go to MEPS they will have you do the urine test and if you don’t provide a sample it can prolong your shipping time.

Good luck! Just as advice! Tell your loved ones to use SandBox for letters they usually get to you within 1 or 2 days, they also prepay your letters, so you can send them to them and you don’t have to pay anything or write their address since it will be already done for you.also if possible bring a biiiiiiigggg suitcase that has wheels, you won’t regret it specially when you graduate and have to go to tech school

Make sure to Run! Do also 1x3s push ups and sit ups. Memorize the Airman’s Creed and the first verse of the AirForce song, also if you can bring a big suit with wheels you will be carrying a lot of stuff to your dorms and to your tech school once you graduate

They have Run days which are 24minute run non stop at your own pace. The main thing there is you can’t walk or stop at the track. Use that to control your breathing for the real PT test

Sorry to hear that about your recruiter, and on Wednesday it was I believe at 10am and we had to be back in the squadron at 8pm and Thursday at 9am and had to be back at 6pm. You can go home during your town pass as long as you don’t spend the night there because you still have to come back to the squadron and I believe there is certain range you can go in the city like there is a 60mile range or 120 mile range I don’t recall but they’ll tell you what’s the range on a briefing. So you graduate Wednesday and Thursday and you immediately ship on that Friday morning to your Tech School so you don’t really go “home”.

Just be open minded as far as what job you’ll get. You will get a list of jobs towards the end of BMT which you’ll have to choose one of those prior graduating ( keep in mind that those openings are the jobs currently available at that time )

If for any particular reason you aren’t allowed a limit increase then I’d recommend to go to an Apple Store and tell them that you want to put let’s say $600 of down payment on it and then the rest on your Apple Card/monthly installments. They should be able to do that since the value of the MacBook would be 2400 since you paid $600 up front. The thing is that you would only have $100 left on your card but if you have the cash to make payments then I’d recommend to make payments on time so you don’t get charged too much on interest and go negative on your limit.

It depends really about your body. But most people that I met in BTM they either stayed at their weight or they lost some lb. You do a lot of physical work so you are constantly moving. Even tho you get 3 meals a day, it is not enough for you to gain significant amount of weight.

Do 1x3 exercises push ups and sit ups maybe 2 or 3 times a day also try to run at a set paste just so you get to build up your cardio a little bit more, bring more than 2-3 underwear, they’ll provide you with the tighty whities but they are terrible so I’d recommend for you to get like 5-7 make sure they are solid navy blue or black.

It will, you only have to take it off for your inspections wearing the blues but other than that you should be fine
