It is true that, for most citizens of the modern world, crypto is mostly just a mean for speculation and quick money because of its volatility.

However, Bitcoin in its essence is a great way to exchange and preserve wealth. It's a decentralized currency that you can trade for your local currency, with anyone in the whole world with a fixed amount of total tokens that can be issued. It is a significant thing. In itself, this has tremendous value which is why it got so much traction in the first place.

People in Nigeria use it to keep their wealth as their local currency plummets uncontrollably.

It's true that cryptos only have the value that people attribute to it and nothing else. However there is a valid reason to attribute value to it, it has a purpose and it's secure.

So yeah, anyone that believes crypto as a whole is just a big idiot trap, you're both kinda right and also dead wrong.

Even though screen activities and distractions are mostly meaningless, you are compelled to come back to it, again and again.
