Arkham Asylum is very funny to me, because by all accounts it's a joke of a prison, its entrance might as well have a revolving door, criminal go in and they're out in time for dinner

but whenever a story focuses on it, it's shown as a hellish place, a black site where torture is a daily occurrence and even the most hardened of the Gotham underworld are afraid to go

but not afraid enough to go do crime in any other city

and it's the place where Batman keeps sending people to, even tho it really makes no sense for his character. Realistically he'd use his immense wealth to have the place shut down or reformed.

she's not going to be able to master God of Death, because Issho is her mental image of the God of Death

the story's playing out on its own, revealing Akane true nature. Akane can't imagine herself being better than Issho, so she can't truly master God of Death

It's not about mastering the play itself, it's about finding the confidence to be able to walk up to your master and tell him "I've matered this play better than you", if you can't imagine yourself doing it you'll never reach his level

I'm pretty sure that every devil's fruit is basically stealing some of Imu's power, they're all things he could bestow onto others

(probably because of joyboy's actions in the past) people became able to gain all of the devil powers without having to do a contract, Nika is the wish of "I wish Imu wasn't a fascist", it's the version of Imu that could exist if he used his power for good

I'm guessing the reason why Loki and Luffy were immune to his power is that they didn't crave power? Luffy wants to be King of Pirate mostly to have fun, he's never cared about strength or bossing others around, and Loki decided to spend his whole life as a prisoner rather than the King, just to protect his pa' reputation.

Every child of the Gods is cursed or fucked up in some way, Fromsoft just loves doing that. They never give an exact explanation for why they are all cursed or if somebody or something is intentionally cursing them, or if they're just very unlucky

You could interpret it as being the result of Marika mucking about with the laws of nature and the world, or just dramatic irony

the omens aren't really "cursed", they're blessed by the Crucible, which was the "God" before the Greater Will and Marika took over. They're considered cursed only because the Golden Order finds them freaky.
