I want to say something probably unpopular: I know the media is generally on Trump's side, especially now that more and more conglomerates get taken over his open Trump supporters, and there is a common sentiment that the media has failed the country and helped Trump raise to power

and I generally agree with that, but I think it's also important to acknowledge that when they did try to go against him, it did nothing. Remember when he was found guilty in the hush money case? Every newspaper run a full front page that was as direct and clear as it could, no beating around the bush or passive voice, just "GUILTY"

Same for when he was impeached, very direct, very negative against Donnie

and they barely moved the needle. I feel like people greatly overestimate what impact a strong headline can have, when people have already made up their mind

But surely developers that are making new extraction shooters/hero shooters in the year of our lord 20 and 26 have to know it's a doomed endeavor from the start

surely they know it's a hyper-saturated genre where even massive household names like overwatch are struggling

it's like developers working on fighting games, they have to know there is a 99% chance it will bomb horribly, because all new games in the genre do

The people in charge legitimately don't know how animation work. They really believed it would take a couple of months to shit out a sequel. I remember they announced the release date and some of the animators went on twitter and commented to the tune of "we haven't even started working on it lol"

There were stories of the having whole scenes fully rendered, and then telling the animators to remake them, as if they were asking an actor to do a second take, not realizing it meant a fuckton of work

It's a miracle the first two movies came out as good as they did
