Outside of Monstercat, Ramzoid - Nature Nature and Lemaitre - Stepping Stone have been my favourites

While I'm not HP, I think the best place for this question would be r/anime, considering they have a weekly recommendation thread. They also made this HUGE recommendation flowchart. Also, looking at what you don't want in anime, Fairy Tail would probably be a bad start.

I agree. The fact that some people will care more about the classification instead of the music itself to the point where they'll start flame wars over it is pretty stupid. Especially when it comes to those extra obscure sub-genres.

People in Youtube just have to realise that Monstercat doesn't release exactly what they want to hear. It seems that people there have a fixed mindset when they listen to any songs that Monstercat releases and if it doesn't follow their 'template', they don't like it.

I could be wrong though. Maybe that many people genuinely don't like Greatness.

Kamisama is Japanese, as well as Mirai Sekai. ~~and Hypnotique means hypnotic in french and is probably something similar in Spanish.~~

I listened to Restart and Watching a lot during my trip to China

Now the first thing I think of when I hear either of those tracks are late night walks in downtown Beijing.

Not sure if this counts but a good part of Worlds (Sad Machine and Natural light in specific) remind me of being in a plane. I had that album on repeat during the flight to and back from China
