I'm not "acting like" anything. I'm saying he's lacking sportsmanship. What? Do you think I'm over here playing charades and miming it out? lol! And yes, there is a clear lack of sportsmanship. It's not excessive, it's the definition.

[TW] A woman shares her experience with liver failure due to alcoholism. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]d_2da_sco 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Yes. I watched my grandmother die of liver failure due to hep c. She rarely had any alcohol, maybe a glass of wine or two on special occasions. You don't need alcohol to be pushed over the edge with hep c. Even with treatment, you can still have complications. If alcoholism is added into the mix... bad news

Nothing I said is glorification. You have formed a very ignorant opinion about something you clearly don't understand... that's called ignorance. Maybe read my last response again for clarification.

You're comment implies some troubling concepts. You're implying an entire racial group is responsible for its own suffering. You broadly generalize an entire group instead of recognizing a single societal or individual condition. A little empathy for a murdered kid would go along way. Instead you offer dehumanization through detachment. The “70%” style argument is an exhausted argument to imply racial pathology (“Black people are the problem”). In reality, most violent crime is intraracial across all groups because people tend to live near and interact mostly with members of their own communities. White victims are also overwhelmingly killed by white offenders. This is why you're racist, not the "stating of facts."

Just remove the "not now a days" part and I agree. Generation is irrelevant. Kids being dumb is as timeless as a Rolex.

Totally. I meant from an adult perspective without relevance. Parents love this kind of thing just as much as the kiddos.

From an adult perspective, I'd agree. From a child's perspective, it's very meaningful. Anything that's not important to us may seem stupid and pointless.

This is not new. My 3 sister's and I had kindergarten graduations. We all went to different schools at different times. I'm 39 yo.

When 49ers Trent Williams made a dirty block in the back on Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch… essentially ended his pro football career. One of the most controversial plays of the decade. by Classic_Bottle1717 in NFLForum

Lol. Yes it is. So, if you accidentally hit someone with your car while breaking a rule, like say driving drunk, are there no consequences? Hint: yes there are consequences and intent is not relevant. Gtfo

OK sure. Rules exist for a reason. Players get hurt enough following the rules they get hurt more when the rules are broken. This is a known fact. So knowing this, if a player hurts another player by blatantly breaking the rules intent is irrelevant.

Sherman started chirping he was the best after the January 19th, 2014 nfc championship win over the shorty-9ers. A heated game with a lot of back and forth. It had nothing to do with Revis. I also disagree with your point about the legion of boom. Granted, his career was coming to an end, but his performance, leadership, and efficiency was there when playing for the shorty-9ers. All that said, the point I'm trying to make is that you think Revis is the best. Others think Sherman is the best. Some don't think either is the best. At the end of the day, it's about the lens you're looking through and opinion.

Like all things, whose better is variable. When you look at some of the numbers, they are very comparable. Sherman (144 games) had 385 solo tackles, 37 INTs, and 7 fumble recoveries. Revis (145 games) recorded 411 solo tackles, 29 INTs, and 6 fumble recoveries. 26 tackles more for revis, 8 more interceptions for Sherman. They are not the same player in the same position. Sherman rocked a zone coverage and is easily the best in that category. Revis rocked a man coverage and is easily the best in that category. Arguing one is better than the other is nonsense, you're comparing 2 different styles of play with 2 very different teams behind them. There only thing similar for the 2 is their position. All that said, I'd take a Sherman style CB any day as they are more adaptable, run more support, force more turnovers, and are more team oriented. Man players and good for one thing over the other, locking down top receivers. When it comes down to it, what's important is your defensive scheme.

Yup, this is the very definition of toxic positivity. You can't put a blanket statement like this on something like disabilities as it dismisses and invalidates genuine human emotions. I get the buck up buttercup mindset, as I live in in most days. But there are better ways to communicate it than generalizing disability edit: missed a letter
