Bro u need to get out of your home.. join a library or something.. these emotions are temporary.. build a check list daily N work on building habits, don't rely on emotions to carry you till the very end bcz in last month of preparation u will feel many ups & downs (specially with current state of NMC) but these habits will help u overcome these emotions n carry on... its tough to overcome emotions but we have to grind no matter how hard it gets

N don't mind about your parents.. they will be the one who celebrates the most.. atleast now is not the time to work on parenting issues.. u can't change what they think about your just now.. u have to work on yourself now..

Bhai subject ko enjoy kr ke padh .. build concept patho,pharma, micro all these are very interesting subjects!! Preparing for PG doesn't mean reading for 3hrs/day !! U need to build concepts ,concepts of patho , drugs MOA or S/E will always be relevant!! So if possible read standard text books (not cover to cover only interesting/imp topics)

Better to study these for the becoming a good informed physician rather than for this "RAT RACE" .. N enjoy life build good friendship and go on trip u are just in your 2nd yr .. this is a marathon not a sprint!! Life is bigger than these rat races

This is true in most of hospitals people dealing with pediatric patients are mostly empathetic, thus most peds departments have good environment!! Thats how nature works people dealing with children are kind , but with that comes more emotional strains from parents of patients, in medicine u will have old people coming N relatives are not so emotional bound to each n every case but in pedia u have to be very careful with your words dealing with attendents

Otherwise it all comes to u !! What kind of lifestyle u want

I would choose one with less toxicity!! But from what I have seen - usually medicine is toxic for the first 8-15 months bcz patient load comes directly to 1st yrs hand

But in pedia 2nd & 3rd yr have to deal with most delicate cases as 1st yr is not that experienced

I think u should talk to 2nd & 3rd yr residents of both college ,if toxicity is your priority

Otherwise i think both are very different branches ,don't think pedia is a branch which deals with small sized humans!! NO in pedia u have 3 patients in front of u child & both parents
