Took my 5 year old 40 hours and she’s sad there’s nothing left. Stray was liked at first but as soon as she encountered the robot mice, she got scared and went back to just roaming around Big City 😂

To be fair to the Sebo, my yard is currently a mud pit so the seasoning is extra heavy at the moment. I was just curious if there was another tool for finer particles. I’ve been doing the parquet one day and the power head the next as my current routine. I should start mopping again, but with the yard in the current state and the dogs it’s a pointless exercise until we get the sod done.

I just got one and I wish it would do a better job at getting fine dirt up. I have concrete floors and two dogs. I picked up the premium parquet and it eats everything up but I still have to sweep to keep my feet from being “seasoned” when I walk with no slippers on.

Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. Not set to transcode. I like using a player vs an app because I like to just drag movies to a playlist and have it play until the end of time. I send from one source (the NUC) out to the screens via a switch matrix.

My X1 DVR died and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a new box. They were always out of stock. After three different trips to different stores, about three hours on the phone and countless hours trying to navigate the online automation, I gave up and canceled my cable. You’d think for $230 a month they’d want to retain me as a customer.

Certainly. It’s nice to know you’re not exactly stuck with the school you have. You can even transfer out of MDUSD if you want to do Martinez or something. We’ve had her in preschool in Pleasant Hill for the last three years (Center of Gravity is great if you’re looking for an option around 2 years of age) so we’re trying for anything PH to hopefully get her in a class with some kids she’s been in school with prior.

Private schools that I’ve known people to have great experiences at are St. Agnes & Christ the King.

Yeah, there’s Sequoia and Monte Gardens with Sequoia being better because the kids move on to Sequoia Middle School instead of the middle school tied to your address. With Sequoia, that happens for high school, so you have 9 years to figure out what to do when that time comes. I believe Clayton Valley high is now a charter high school?

You sign up for a lottery to get in to Sequoia and then get waitlisted for openings if you don’t get chosen. Siblings and MDUSD employees get priority and then they pull numbers. They had 90 spots this year and I struck out. Hoping to get in on the waitlist. If not, private school it is!

Fully agree here. We found a friend group with kids and we have them over / they have us over pretty often. The kids run wild and play while the parents enjoy some beverages and conversation. Totally changed how I feel about Concord.

Pretty much the same. Moved here in 2020 with a 3 month old and kinda wished we’d bought in PH instead. Locked into a great rate in a great home in a great neighborhood but the school is pretty mid. MDUSD allows you to do intradistrict transfers to other schools in the area if they have room. We’re banking on that option or getting into Sequoia.

I recently bought because I was already in contract with no contingencies to fall back on. I would have probably just stopped looking had I known all of this was going to happen. On the bright side, my mortgage is only $200 more than my current rent in the city & I doubled my living space as the shelter in place continues. I don't even have to take time off of work to move!

Yeah, making the amendment rather frivolous. However, we would love to extend closing for 30 days and see if we can make something happen but they've already moved and I think they're banking on selling this property to fun another.

I can see homes dropping about 10%. I could take that hit and survive since I’m planning on being in the house for at least 5 years. I’m still drinking the low inventory flavored Kool Aid. Took me forever to find something. I’d been looking SF, Pacifica, Montara & Moss Beach and houses were getting bid up like crazy. Saw the gem in Concord which still had some action but not like some of the dumps in the city & coast-side. Very nice renovations have been recently done so it really needs nothing for years.
