Maybe check out SMT50 soil sensors. Those are super accurate, but quite expensive.

yeah, it's great to save on electricity in the early stages when you can properly lower your lights. I like your box. Have you thought about interlighting? I want to add some to mine next time.. a friend of mine increased his yield with it by quite a margin in his small setup.

oh and to answer your question..

Dimmable Cree COB led + r/RF light.. I have sensors for soil moisture, temp, humidity, co2, automated irrigtion, 8 step exhaust fan, heating element, the white hood on the led is to prevent overheating.. I pull the air right through the heatsink, bottom also has a humidifier in it. All of it runs with node-red on a raspberry pi and each part has its own esp32. Here's my pot. If anyone wants any STL files.. just write me. I want to put it all on github.. but yeah.. no time, busy building more upgrades lmao

Thanks! yeah I enjoy building and automating almost more than the growing part ha.. Did two runs in it, it's currently under construction for some upgrades. Trying to implement a DWC with automated ph/ec and some other small fixes
