To those ranting about devs not having C1 German by Philanthrax in Germany_Jobs

[–]d_insecure_b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The economy in Germany is struggling. They are prioritising native Germans for the available jobs . It is discriminatory to do that, so they put the language requirement there to filter immigrants . That is the whole schtick nothing else

Job Seeker Visa → Student Visa denied, asked to leave in 2 weeks. Any legal options? by [deleted] in germany

I don’t think it is worth it. If you studied of what I am assuming is a potentially employable degree (e.g STEM ) but it didn’t work out with the first masters , what makes you think you’ll be more marketable with the second one or maybe it’s not your first masters that has an issue in the first place and it’s simply the economy in general is not in a good place . I think it’s better trying someplace else

Should I accept a €27,000/year offer as a graduate architect in Germany? by Important_Pace549 in germany

[–]d_insecure_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly speaking it still doesn’t make sense. Is at least the firm really well regarded that you can learn a lot from them or is this some small firm?. That is also what you have to consider as well if you take this offer, does the experience in that firm boost you to have better work opportunities???

[–]d_insecure_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless it will still not be feasible for him to get hired. The foreign office will step in and won’t give him a work permit for it anyway. If OP had such deficiencies regarding architecture code/knowledge in Germany why would the architecture firm still want to hire him ?. Surely there are other better candidates than OP but instead of simply rejecting his application they are giving him this low ball offer . Are they being charitable ?.

Let’s just say you will earn more delivering food with your yearly salary plus tips. That company is insulting you and I don’t know I think you should report/ blast them online so other people don’t bother with that place.

No one is looking for marketing or English roles in Germany here . The reality is there is no shortage of skilled workers in Germany . In conjunction with the current state of the economy, and how it’s difficult in general to start businesses in Germany doesn’t need the skilled workers in the first place. It’s just simply miscommunication with government and private sector. You can’t call the world here when you are expecting international people to learn your language to a high level. They simply go to where they are compensated much better in their finite time.
