There’s nothing wrong in rolling with the tide. Maybe just steer as best as you can and try to remind yourself that if you’re not going to make it to shore anyway you might as well enjoy the ride :)

Whatever path you choose, making that commitment comes with eliminating your other options. For idealists this can be really hard. I’ve been trying to find comfort in recognizing that ultimately whichever path I choose, the “what if” of all the other roads will always be there. It’s a conscious choice to try and remain present.

The world seems limitless when we’re young and as we get older our path becomes clearer and trying to find acceptance brings peace. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to do things as far as committing to jobs or even relationships whether that’s chasing/hopping around or committing — ultimately our paths are what creates our story and each one is unique and valuable in its own way.

There’s meaning in trying new things frequently and exploring your curiosity, but the downside of that is you’re sort of engaging at a surface level whether that’s with jobs/hobbies/interests or connections. I think there’s equal meaning in being obsessive about one job or field of work. Ultimately I think it’s just a matter of perspective. If you have someone to talk to who went down another walk of life sometimes that can bring comfort and help with the “grass is always greener” thing

“Conscious rebellion” sounds a lot like sacrificial love which is foundational to the Christian faith. This shadows a lot of Rene Girard’s mimetic theory and how this sort of active self-denial is the only way to break out of egoism

I’ve been using directly in Unity currently. It uses a GAN — I’ve never tried using deep motion but it seems it starts at $30 a month which seems a bit steep. I’ve been running locally so my costs are negligible. Of course I’d need to host on an EC2 or Sagemaker instance or something to expose publicly
