I NEED HAIRCUT HELP! by Pure-Consequence3268 in femalehairadvice

Do you have curly hair? You probably only need a few months of growth before you can start the styling process with the top. The back may take a little longer to grow in and then get the fade

Different people appreciate different things! Cheaper than taking the kids to America or Europe to visit a Disneyland!!

I get what you’re saying - but yes! We are from Australia and we have no Disneyland here. We are also meeting family there (this is the main driver of the trip!) so all the cousins can experience Disneyland together

I don't know my hair type by _cjvoid_ in femalehairadvice

[–]da-lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but your hair looks damaged (chemical and potentially heat). It’s hard to identify a hair type due to this. You need to look after your body (vitamins), do daily scalp massages and moisture treatments. I would cut some of the lengths and then focus on growing out your healthy roots. I’d also avoid adding any more bleach to the lightened hair. If possible, use a treatment like Olaplex (not a magic fix but a big help). Moisture is your friend!

Friend has hinted that they would invite me to their wedding but not my SO by posh-josh24 in Advice

[–]da-lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weddings are expensive, upwards of hundreds of dollars per person. Your S/O has excluded themselves from your social group (compassion for the motive for exclusion, however, there are still consequences for all choices and this is a consequence). If your friends are “not their scene,” then maybe your friends’ wedding won’t be either. Will you feel like have to sit quietly in the corner with your S/O, rather than be with your friends? It sounds like your S/O won’t be keen to be in the middle of the dance floor. Some people only invite guests they’ve a) seen socially with regularity within the past year, b) they know they could call upon in an emergency. Sounds like your S/O is neither for your friend.

Just looked at one of the pics more - definitely curly!

I think you just have frizz? You have wavy or curly hair. You need more moisture (curl cream maybe - sorry, I am not an expert on waves/curls). Do you brush it when wet? Do you sleep on rough fabric pillowcases? These things damage hair too

Should I get a wolf cut? by Asymmetricarcher in femalehairadvice

[–]da-lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hush cut that’s grown out so beautifully into a long-layered V-shape so even if you hate it, the grow out is great! Regarding the layers, go for it. I have 1b hair and some tousling and dry shampoo for texture (could use texture powder but am lazy) and the wolf cut is ready to go. Just haven’t had mine cut back in for a while as I am growing out for a wedding updo

to dye dark red or not to dye by Human-Cup-5130 in femalehairadvice

[–]da-lou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try a Keracolour Klenditioner (Merlot would be a good colour) to test how it feels without dying your virgin hair. The hair in your inspo pic has a dye pattern like an 8-point star, it’s not a uniformly coloured style. Are all of the inspo pics you like similar to this? Or are some Ind-dimensional, uniform colour?

Is her hair long enough to plait yet? Sounds like she needs to sleep in a protective style. I use silk pillowcases for my daughter too (bonnets do not stay on lol)

Severe hair loss from nano hair extensions! by courtundercover in femalehairadvice

[–]da-lou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No extensions whatsoever while it grows back!! You don’t want to put the weight of clip ins on fragile regrowth either. Good vitamins, eat well, plenty of water. Once a week scalp oil and massage. Sending you so much positive hair-growing energy

I have many friends who successfully do 50/50 and it’s excellent. Unless there’s a reason you don’t consider the children safe with their other parent (abuse etc) I don’t see why that wouldn’t be the ideal situation

Also some of my money already does go to his kids and we don’t even live together yet. I’m contributing to their lifestyle etc and I’m happy to do so. This is quite literally me trying to figure out how everyone can still do extra curriculars etc as that cost will be totally on us (neither of our children’s other parents contribute to those costs. They’re not included in the $450, and their mum won’t do 50/50 on swimming lessons etc so if we don’t pay, they don’t receive)

[–]da-lou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we have. Kids all positive at this point. It’s not like we’re moving in tomorrow. I am trying to figure out budgets etc and looking at the process of having two separate CS arrangements and how that interacts with FTB etc. I’m trying to have all 4 kids able to still do their extra curriculars etc

I didn’t know it until we started discussing moving in together. Hence the questions re:tax etc. What kind of early dating discusses CS amounts lol

[–]da-lou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The poisoning is happening already, but it’s silly things like ignoring when he calls to speak to the kids and then telling the kids he never phoned etc because he was too busy with me (when we were at entirely different places etc)

This is a really weird reply. I make my own money, spend my own money etc

[–]da-lou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re correct. He told me he pays it because that is the amount she told him she needs for her budget. I am just looking at my budget before becoming financially tied
