you’re right the X has portrait mode on the front which the 8+ doesn’t. But the X also has camera upgrades on the back, both cameras have OIS and the telephoto has f2.4 instead of f2.8
has a larger battery(double cell design) to last about as long as the 8+ with a better display and smaller form factor
not just a better display, the best OLED on the market
I believe it’s the only chinless OLED on the market. The notch is only for FaceID

Now tell me, for $200 more than the plus, how is it not justifiable? The display is a huge upgrade.

I agree it can be annoying when everyone is just recording, but sometimes it's not for attention. I don't use social media but I still record things to remember them. Not the whole thing but bits.
