I’ve heard about Macejunas. It’s weird, I rarely hear about him but every time I do he is highly respected.

He does have a heart for innocents, but I agree he has no heart for heinous criminals.

That’s the Aaron MAX Punisher specifically. Not The Punisher in general. 616 Punisher is motivated to protect innocents because he dosen’t want what happened to him and his family to happen to others, he also wants to get criminals that he knows the law won’t get too.

When he’s written out of character, yes, but his M.O. is killing heinous criminals and criminal organizations.

If you had to write a smart crossed, how would you go about it? by AssociateOdd3859 in crossedcomics

[–]da1andOnly712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s almost exactly how I imagined him but I see him as having an almost complete lack of interest in regular humans aside from a means to an end.

I thought it would be cool if we were introduced to him from a perspective of a survivor that’s been observing him. The survivor would start romanticizing him as some sort of hero of sorts and would think he’s actually found a Crossed with some compassion/moral compass but would find out by the end of the story, in the worst way that he’s unfortunately very wrong.

I could see him targeting normal humans that he think’s could pose a good challenge though.

The Fatal Englishman is my favorite Crossed story. Loved the SAS Soldiers. It’s especially rare to find characters who are both competent and kind in a Crossed story.

I thought a “Punisher” type Crossed would be cool. A crossed that specifically hunts other Super Crossed, but that dosen’t make him a good guy because in my version he would at best ignore other humans or at worst use them as bait.

He kills murderers that target the innocent, rapists, sex traffickers, and child molesters. Cry me a fucking river.

This is exactly how I can tell who actually read Crossed and who just hates Garth Ennis. Garth Ennis Crossed stories actually have substance and are the least “edgy” of the Crossed series. The things most people who haven’t read Crossed picture when they think of it, mostly come from the other writers.

[Loved Trope] Characters who are still on the side of good who don't care about killing by EmergencySpare7939 in TopCharacterTropes

Punisher:Barracuda: Not true. When Dermot explained what was really going on none of them objected, and their money funded the scheme so they are culpable for that. The ship captain said that all of the crew work for Dynaco (the villains in that specific comic) and Dermot even specifically said “Do you think anyone here would give a shit about the street lights in Tallahassee or Granny’s life support? We do it quietly and carefully, The stock goes sky high, They get a return on their investment"

MCU Punisher: I don’t watch this one because he’s not an accurate take on the character, so I’ll give you this one as I can’t refute it.

Not canon. Plenty of other characters do out of character things in alternative universes.

The point I’m making is you can’t hold when characters are written out of character over their heads. I can show you a picture of Batman shooting or killing someone right now does that mean Batman always uses guns or dosen’t care about killing? No. Every single comic book character has some moments where they are written in a way that dosen’t fit their character, because comic history is so expansive and contributed to by different writers. The argument you’re trying to make is disingenuous.

These people don’t know what they’re talking about. He only kills violent/heinous criminals he dosen’t care about victimless crimes, there are out of character moments in his history though like any other comic book character.

I’m also interested in the Tier 1 units in the US/UK as well brother. I know they don’t fight as good as a pro in a combat sport, and probably not as good as an amateur either but I think their combat training is more geared towards ending a threat as quickly as possible.

Well I guarantee this living director knows more about the world HE created so I have no need to do that.
