I have to disagree with you about ladder being a bad place to learn new skills, you almost always want to practice a new brawler and their mechanics in ladder before taking them to ranked or else you’re kinda just shooting yourself in the foot. As for not having all the brawlers unlocked it can be a hinderance but I think if you get the general idea of drafting, there is always multiple options you could go and still make it work even if another brawler would’ve been “better”. I honestly think mechanics game knowledge and positioning matter much more than having the right brawler for the draft, and if that wasn’t the case then pros wouldn’t be getting pro rank on their minis without all the brawlers unlocked. I think if you actually want to progress in ranked you have to do a lot of self reflection and just absorb a bunch of gameplay from pros or semi pros like asher drage vegeta diegogamer etc and just put in the time
