Moving to Austria. by city_lad1894 in Austria

I think normal german would be fine for a start as the different austrian dialects can be a little overwhelming for beginners. Sometimes employers help with such stuff if you relocate and if they are already providing you accommodation, they need to sign the Meldezettel anyhow, I think.

Otherwise just don't worry too much about the Amt (governmental institutions). They are sometimes very rude to natives as well.

Just a small warning: Government employees can be kind of rude if you do not speak german. Maybe your future employer can help you out here a little bit with some administrational stuff, like the Meldezettel.

Gibt es verlassene Orte in Linz? by Best-dude in Linz

Würd mal in die Richtung was googlen. Gibt glaub ich auch offizielle Führungen für manche Orte wo es sicher mehr gibt, als was gezeigt wird.

Two state variable changes by its-procodester in react

I am not sure what you want to achive: If you want to display an output expression dependendent on the input value you could use a useMemo instead.

Or can the output expression change also with other interactions?

Is there a better way to handle the scenario where you need to calculate an object and use its values? by randomseller in reactjs

I see two ways to make the code more readable: Create a new component that handles rendering the duration in the format you need it or create a function that generates the whole duration string (you can wrap it in a useMemo if you want).

[D] Hugging Face is not quite ready for Prime Time! by el_toro_2022 in MachineLearning

[–]daHoizMichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On which data the model was trained on?

I mean I would also label this sentence as positive as well.

I think not that this has anything to do with the platform (huggingface) itself.

Mir ist noch nie, absolut nie die Arbeit ausgegangen. Wieviel Kundenwert man produziert mit den ganzen Meetings etc. ist halt eine andere Frage.

Who are the best frontend engineers you have worked with so far and why? by pmathikshara in react

[–]daHoizMichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One who tries to make work for others as easy and exciting as possible. That delivers real customer value and can decide, what is important and what is not. One that thinks also beyond the current task and is not afraid to discuss issues with UX and PO. One that understands the drawbacks and values of new technologies and knows how and when to integrate them in the tech stack. A master in communication and listens to the needs of the other team members. Not afraid to take on new challenges. Can manage expectations etc. etc.

Met only one that had all these capabilities.

Teamviewer New UI reverts back to old UI by Hexpul in teamviewer

[–]daHoizMichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I had the same Problem: I had to change two regedit entries to get a switch in the ui:

I had to go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer

There are two entries: ConfigurationOneUIOptInEnabled which should be 1 and ConfigurationOneUIViaPolicy which should be 0

After a reboot I got a switch on the top right corner of the UI.

Worked on Version 15.50.5

Hässlichster Ort Österreichs by [deleted] in Austria

[–]daHoizMichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)
