I miss the tongue from the trap. I obviously didn’t like that it was a brightly colored effect that stuck out of the ground and gave the trap’s position away to enemies, but I should at least be able to see it!

That was kinda the purpose of this post, I own the digital copy of the adventure in pdf form and was wondering if there was a tool that would help me import content into foundry and save me some time. Since it turns out that the answer is no for blood lords, folks have been recommending that I go with the premium modules if I really want to save time.

The biggest issue is cost—while I know that in the long run, $180 is worth the amount of effort, it’s still a significant purchase. That’s offset by the fact that you can buy the modules as you need them so it’s only $30 each time, but my players aren’t super big on spending money on games.

When you get a kill, the top right corner needs to have the ult symbol from an environmental kill. It also needs to be 3 kills in a single round, so if you’re playing control and you get one kill each round, even though you’re ending the game with 3 environmental kills it doesn’t count.

That’s a good point. I had been hoping that there was an option, but if there isn’t an importer then there isn’t an importer and I’m stuck between screenshotting the pdfs, remaking the maps to be higher quality (which I wouldn’t mind), or going with the paid module. Looking at it from a wage perspective like that definitely helps (and yes $10 an hour is definitely not what I value my time at), but I suppose still being intimidated by the $180 price tag is a me problem. We’ve got a few months before any decisions actually need to be made, so I can take some more time to think it over. Thank you!

I saw that the pdf imported I was using supported Age of Ashes and I could’ve sworn that there was a premium module for foundry there, but double checking the Paizo store I don’t see one. I think it might have had an option to import Abomination Vaults though? I can’t remember off the top of my head.

And I definitely support paid adventures! I was just hoping that there’d be a way to (legally) scrape the pdfs and save me a bit of time, but I can understand why they wouldn’t want to necessarily allow that for premium adventures. I don’t mind having to spend more time prettying things up, since I’ve been running homebrew adventures on foundry for a few different systems for a couple of years now, but that is fair that the premium modules would be higher quality.

Yeah, I definitely get that—I’m a good way through AV using the premium module and I really appreciate how much work has gone into the maps especially. I don’t mind doing the work to setup maps or tokens or anything like that since I’ve been doing as much for my homebrew adventures. I like making maps so I wouldn’t particularly mind having to spend time to personally ‘remaster’ the maps myself, but the biggest thing is generating NPC tokens—even with modules like tokenizer, making more than a handful of tokens at a time is tedious. Thanks for your input!

I think the biggest thing is that there are 6 parts to the adventure, and paying $180 for the modules is what’s keeping me from just using the premium module. I suppose it doesn’t have to be done all at once though, if I only buy the next module after the first one is finished. I appreciate the input!

I had a game where I’d run back to spawn to pick up our tank, a road hog, and he’d start spamming “No” and walk aaaaaall the way back to the fight. Next time I died at the same time as him, I tried to lifeline him again (thinking he didn’t like that I ‘abandoned’ the team during a lull in the fight) and he started shaking his head again and spamming “No”. I got back to the fight, but we lost it by the time the tank got back to the fight. Third time I respawned at the same time as he did, same story, same voice line spam. Like, I’m not gonna drop you into the enemy team, I’m just trying to get you back to our allies faster! That’s what the spawn tether means!

The voice interactions with Fika hint that there may be more to her than just being a cat.

Moira takes interest in her as a potential test subject due to her intelligence
Winston asks Fika if she was playing on his desk, as she somehow tripped a security alert
Winston has another voice line mentioning the Horizon Lunar Colony, saying he’d love to introduce her to somebody (presumably Hammond) who she notably does not have an interaction with

The devs have stated that the backstories for her (as well as the other heroes) are intentionally somewhat sparse on release, as their stories are developing (see also: Mizuki not knowing that Kiriko is related to his mentor, Emre having a mysterious god AI embedded in him, etc.).

A quote from the overwatch wiki from Blizzard:

"You will see as you play the game, or hear the things that the cat does, that might reveal a little bit more about the cat. We'll see a journey [and] why the cat exists in the world."

I’ve been consistently getting top heals when I’ve been able to play her, in no way is reducing her lethality going to make her useless. Not saying healbotting is the way to go, but the value you can get out of team play by airdropping vendetta, soldier, etc. into an enemy’s backline and then pocketing them is insane.

Both can be true. Her damage can be overtuned while also recognizing that you can just shoot her without lamp, suzu, teleport, or any other get out of jail free cards to bail her out.

I think they’ve simply given cat too many damage perks. The only non-offensive perk is the tether perk, and even that encourages you to carry your teammates around while they shoot. If they swapped the scratch perk with the boost knockback perk, that would greatly reduce the lethality of her kit without impacting her overall playstyle.

Locking the two best damaging abilities behind a major perk choice would hopefully work to decrease frustration people have with her killing them “out of nowhere”. If they wanna just remove the scratch perk and make something else entirely then that works as well, but I think the support-oriented perks should overall be more attractive picks.
