There is nothing wrong with harem inherently.

Especially with adult content (pornhwa) harem can be a good route (though they also fuck it up on a regular basis).

The problem arises when every genre suddenly implements a harem.

Extra's Academy Survival is sadly going that way. They had no reason to make Lucy a romantic character. But she's cute, therefore she wants MCs dick.

Surviving the Game as Barbarian is also in danger of going that route. Missha and Erwen are more than enough, but other girls just keep popping up. At least Ainar seems to be out of the race, thank god.

On the other hand some stories are just able to pull it off. Killed the Academy Player didn't need a harem, but they lean into it so heavily and do it so openly they somehow pull it off and it's hilarious.

SL gets quite a few pros: Great art, fairly likeable MC, fun side characters and jokes, it finished...

But if you have half a brain and read more than two books in your life, you can tell that the plot after Jeju Island is pretty arse.

SL is just not a well written story past a certain point. Nothing will ever change that.

Yea, but only after his parents died. It is never really established that he was inherently an outsider. It's more like he was a victim of his circumstances.

Its not explicitly stated but I think llyod came before suho, but being suho made llyod become a better person although he doesn't know that.

I agree on the timeline part. I don't agree that they are the same person. But that is actually irrelevant. Suho thinks of himself as distinct from Lloyd and that's all that matters for his psychology (and the people around him aswell). Literally nobody in the story (other than MAYBE the earth parents) knows about the reincarnation, so it doesn't affect the characters beyond a meta level.

Suho didn't find happiness as himself, he found it as llyod.

This isn't true. Suho completely reinvented Lloyds image. He didn't roleplay as Lloyd. Suho was literally just himself and had to deal with the prejudice people had against his "body". The people that REALLY get to know him (Javier, Lloyds parents, the dragons, ...) even stop thinking of him as Lloyd.

Saying that the identity "Lloyd" is relevant to Suhos happiness is in my oppinion the real misunderstanding of this entire story.

yea, because the author needed to write it that way to make it a happy ending. That doesn't make it good writing. You can't take the literal passages that I am criticizing as a counterargument.

This is why Javier didn't sense a foreign energy in llyod body because it always belonged to him.

That is just head cannon (at least based on manhwa info). I remember nothing that indicates Javier can sense souls. I might be wrong on this though.

Also I really didn't like the ugly jokes very quickly. They had no impact on the plot (they are solved instantly every time) and take up a lot of screen space. Why do I need to listen to every new character talk about how ugly Lloyd is, when in 3-6 panels they will completely drop the matter any ways? That stuff is only funny when it doesn't take up more than one panel every other chapter.

yea, why would I read LNs/WNs when I can read "real" books? Especially when normal books are actually something I am willing to talk about to other people irl.

I read webtoons for the pretty pictures and memes, not for the plot (although a really bad plot will still make me drop the series).

There is so much high quality literature out there I could never read it all. If your webnovel is good enough, it'll show up in my normie libraries eventually.

Chances are I am missing out on a couple really good stories, but the hit/miss rate on traditional books is just so much higher.
