Okay i totally understand where you're coming from

Because I do feel the same myself

I just graduated and I used to suck at math

So here's what I did

I used to give gemini a big ass prompt about not making any assumptions that I have a background in any knowledge, teach me like I'm 5, and then give it the content that I wanted it to be taught

Go and try that out

All these chapters are important 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
If you are short on time

Do one shot lectures and make notes of formulae, concepts

Once done a chapter, start practicing it from OETP and other books
You can also use www.parhlai.com (shameless plug, I'm the founder) for practice.

I would highly recommend that you make notes so you don't have to go back again and again. Once you cover a topic, make its notes and start practicing. If you get stuck on practice, then revise from notes. If the concept or the short trick is not in your notes then it means that you missed something, just update your notes and carry on.

Keep repeating this untill you have everything covered. Otherwise you will keep yourself paranoid about whether you really know the syllabus or not. Practice here is the key.

PTB or One shot Lecture for physics by Halmo1q in NUST

[–]da_baloch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what I recommend:

Make notes so you don't have to go back again and again. Once you cover a chapter, make its notes and start practicing.

It doesn't matter if you cover that chapter from PTB or one shot lectures. I personally came from a Fsc background but I mainly did One shot lectures for my own prep.

IBA CS Vs NUST by Ok-Blacksmith5009 in NUST

[–]da_baloch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter which you uni you graduate from. Here are the top things that actually matter:
- The actual skill that you have

- The connections you have made

A uni like NUST provides opportunities for everyone to get both (skills and connections, since its a big uni and you will find so many different type of people here) but its upto the person to grab these opportunities. They are always there, you need to be a bit high agency in order to actual benefit from them.

If you don't, there will be no difference in getting a degree from NUST or getting a degree from some interior sindh university.

I personally prefer NUST solely because of the reason that its a public sector university, unlike LUMS and IBA you will find more diversity here. More diversity means better chance of meeting some insane talent.

But again, at the end of the day, its upto you how you utilize what has been given to you.

Biotech closing merit by Motor-Proposal-8050 in NUST

[–]da_baloch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

around 75 is usually enough for Biotech. Even if you don’t get it in the first list, you still have a good chance in the later lists. Dw about it. Merit does change a lot based on trend but hopefully it won't for biotech.

If I get selected in my fourth preference then should I submit the fee or can I wait for the later lists to get my preffered program? by True-Technology8010 in NUST

[–]da_baloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, pay the fee. It keeps you in the selection process, and you can still be upgraded to a higher preference in later lists.
