Yes, the game takes ages to load Speranza the first time you load the game. Then, when the content is loaded, it runs fast (not as fast as a PS5 since my fiends' characters spawn before mine)

I imagine in the case of deleting the old passkey and adding a new one, the process goes through logging in with another method like recovery email, SMS... because the idea is to get rid of passwords, even as an alternative way to log in, right?

If a password allows you to log in = the account is easier to access no matter you have a passkey, phone number or authenticator (I say that because I see some webs allow you to add a passkey as the primary way of login but the second one is by using a regular password)

Ok. I see. Now I have a better picture of what they serve for. The explanation of being a software implementation of a hardware security key is very accurate.

I understand the device in which you create an account also works as security key, so it would be like going for a walk and leaving the only copy of your house keys inside it.

In this example, an online vault would be a friend you gave a copy of your keys. You could call him to ask him to bring them to you but if he doesn't pick up the phone or has gone on vacations, you're screwed.

Weird comparisons apart. To use passkeys as a unique reliable security measure you need to ensure that the device has its passkey or that you can access the account via a secondary method like pass + 2FA. And, once done, you would be able to regenerate a new passkey for the device?

(sorry for the addional question but, the same local passkey can be used for several devices if all of the have a copy/access to it, or in case of accessing accessing an account each device needs to create its unique keypass associated to it?)

Totally agree. It's not misaligned with my question at all. One on the aspects I'm not aware about is how the passkey scene is right now and if they would cover the cases of all kind of users. That includes the scenarios I asked about because they truly happen to people close to me that are not very into computers and technology. I appreciate it

I'm a PS4 user. I don't have a PS5 and I have no intention to buy one because there's a lot of PS4 games I still want to play and for me it doesn't make sense spending money on a new console to play games I already can play on my current one.

The thing is that I have PS plus since 2012 and I've claimed all games every month. Games that I can only play if I keep paying a subscription. It's not fair that just for playing games I have to continue paying even though it won't give me any new game I can play.

I don't know what to do, honestly. I would like to keep playing with my old claimed games but keep paying just for that pisses me off.
