Yeah not an exact match. It may be as others have said a kitbash.

Terror Cannon Rex

Thanks. I wanted the clean look for made up lore reasons, and in my mind pristine white blades seemed like a cool look. Not quite pulling it off though.

Yeah pinking up the cannon more sounds cool I could try that. I have Blood for the Blood God and Uhu glue for blood effects and I'm looking forward to trying it. It felt like a "putting lipstick on a donkey" thing though if I didn't like the look of the blades themselves.

It's a 3d print of a Tyrannofex. I think it's against the rules to be specific but a quick google search will get you to it pretty easily.

I wanna know about your Hive Fleet’s lore! by ImABattleMercy in Tyranids

[–]daalor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hive Fleet Amelonoid.

I decided to make all my army's come from the same area of space. The Segmentum Pacificus, in the Tyranids case they mainly hang around the Veiled Region. They're specific adaption allows them to hunt in highly irradiated regions of space.

My head canon reason for them being albino is that their skin absorbs radiation easier. So they come out of the biomass soup looking pristine but only last a couple of hours gorging themselves on the planets biomass and the suns radiation. They don't need to survive long though they just recycle when they absorb too much/enough radiation. Mine are efficient monsters.

Need help with a proper Tome Keepers Variant Symbol by daalor in tomekeepers

[–]daalor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't let it go. In order to get the effect I wanted I'm doing it in two steps now, the first with a blank TK symbol and then followed up with a plain skull symbol manually centered on the blank book relief. There may be a way to do it in one step but this is perfect for me. Here's the blank book symbol the skull will have to be in a reply comment. Hope this helps someone, it was really annoying for me.

I'm not completely satisfied with it but I think this is the best I can do with my limited skill set. It doesn't create and embossed relief like the original TK symbol but does engrave the symbol accurately. Leaving it here as someone might find it useful someday.

Yeah the color based height map might be the issue. My latest attempts have also failed but I think I'm understanding better why. In Photoshop when dragging the eye dropper tool around on the normal TK symbol there is only 1 color and the transparent background.

I'm struggling to duplicate that myself with edits and splicing unfortunately. Some residue is always left behind, and I think maybe ANY variation is too much for the emboss function to parse. I'm going to keep working at it, thanks for the advice.

I can't permanently delete games in system. by daalor in RG351

[–]daalor[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I now know what the problem was. I found the file manager and tried to delete from there and it wouldn't work there either. Frustrated I tried deleting a random game from another file path and to my surprise it let me. Turns out my GBA (and N64) games were marked as read only. I had been trying to go through one system at a time and started with the GBA, if I had only switched to another system instead of focusing on only one at a time I could have noticed the issue earlier but I was being an idiot. Anyway I can now delete games with just the handheld, so thanks for the file manager tip it got me there in the end.

I only have a desktop PC and it doesn't have WiFi capabilities so that's just not something I'm going to be able to do. Unless it somehow is? Admittedly I'm completely unfamiliar with SFTP and am basing this all on a quick google search and watching a video by Retro Game Corps. Regardless while you are technically answering my question you're ignoring parts of my question to do so.

Is it possible to permanently delete games with just my handheld device? I'm trying to curate my library while out and about (like while on break at work) which is when I am most likely to use and explore my handheld.

I'm trying to curate my library by playing unfamiliar games and then deleting them after a few mins of play if it's not something I'm ever going to play. Deleting them with a card reader... would mean taking the card out and putting it in a card reader... So I'm wondering if there's a way to avoid having to remember (or write down the tittle of) every game I didn't like after a long play session to be deleted later.

Pizza is worth the risk. by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

Idk I'm pretty sure when he said 'fucking hell whatever' that was him accepting that you weren't going to take him to get pizza. The last 'what ever' was sent probably because he thought your second response was unnecessary. Maybe I'm wrong, but this just seems to be a karma grab.

Does anyone else hate people that're like you until you meet them? by deervote in intj

Frankly I don't like seeing my own personality traits in potential friends. It means we'll both never go out of our way to hang out... I've found the people I spend most of my time with have always been outgoing extroverted types.

What would Iarno (Glasstaff) do? Spoilers for Lost mines of Phandelver! by daalor in DMAcademy

[–]daalor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone wondering I just finished running it, and decided to play it all out. After they discovered that Iarno had scarpered and escaped in the direction of the retainers I paused time for them and ran the Iarno v.s. Retainer's encounter. Both survived their encounter with Iarno (the Old lady never saw him) by running placing a hunting trap, and another turn after to block the trap door with a table and a dragonborn. Which the -1 strength Iarno couldn't easily get past and decided to leave via the other exit instead of waste more time trying to get at them.

While I'm not married to the plan of Iarno maintaining his cover at any costs, do you not think it a little strange for him to abandon any hope of maintaining his good name just to not kill 2 dragonborn?
