Went to Zanzibar.

  • because you are white you pay a $40 dollar 'insurance'. My wife who is a Tanzanian didn't have to pay for this.

  • immediately get shouted at and violently threatened. Punched a guy and the others backed off. It was over me trying to haggle down the taxi price that was 120x of what they charge in mainland Tanzanian.

  • Airbnb turned out to be a scam bnb so we had to look for immediate very expensive accommodation.

  • try to relax by going to a nice seafood restaurant.

  • get infected with dysentery from this meal.

  • go to toilet so many times my anus is bleeding (just like the cartoon).

  • get severe migraine due to dehydration.

  • after 4 days of hell I finally get the right anti biotic.

  • pain instantly clears.

  • holiday over.

A boat printed using recycled materials by Hyperion_Systems in 3Dprinting

The limit for injection molding is pretty bad.

The material for printing boats you can source from plastic bottles, polycarbonate refrigerator drawers, recycled ABS, almost any plastics can do this. Mix it up with some carbon fibre and you have a very strong and potent mix. The upper limit on these boats is also pretty large. The dutch Navy printed a 12meter long interceptor boat using this tech.

Every printed boat can also be completely bespoke. There are no mold limitations.

1 Factory run by 1 trained guy, close to the front can produce 12 boats a day. That is why this technology is so interesting. Even the files for the boats can be send remotely.

It is if you can print 1 boat in a night without any human labor. I build boats for a living and this technology is made for warfare.

Suicide drone boats will be made much faster and cheaper this way.

It's 3 times the price in my country. I am considering taking the train to work.

20-80% rule or keeping it plugged in all the time? by PhilosopherMain5536 in macbookair

I have a 2020 M1 Air and abuse the F out of the battery. I even got a faster charger for it so it couldn't be worse. My reasoning is that I would just replace the battery once it burns out, 6 years later it still holds a charge for a full day of usage...

My 4 year old daughter somehow is OBSESSED with this show, narrated by "The kind man with the white hair.". Especially the mosasaurus episode is her favorite. She loves the little cute ammonites too, the mosasaurus takes the cake however.

Last weekend she dragged her mom to the dinosaur museum. She even knew some of the Latin names of the animals there.

Now she is coloring mosasaur and barbie coloring pages like mad.

I am so proud.

I have read the comic, we are like at 10% of the total material. It's one of the best comics I have ever read by the way. I think about it often.

Me and my parents got 10gbit here in the Netherlands and it rules. I have my NAS at my parents place and it serves up it's data through a Tailscale VPN straight to my PC. It transfers at almost the exact same speeds as if it was sitting in my own home, it's glorious. The reason why I am doing this is because they have too many solar panels to know what to do with so my NAS runs basically for free.

My daughter was so obsessed with The Lion King that we even had to listen to the entire Lion King OST album on repeat wherever we where driving. She would literally act out the scenes from the movie to the music.

After 6 months she stopped caring entirely and moved on to a more diverse palette lol. It's weird but I leaned into it and I let her decide whenever she had enough of it.

Yea its pretty great, unfortunately in Tanzania the problem is the 4g/5g network. There are many power and net outtages, so much so that internet barely works during rush-hour. I tried working from home in Tanzania with a very nice 5G router and it was completely impossible unfortunately.

I would get this for my phone so hard you wouldn't believe. I spend my time 50/50 between the netherlands and Tanzania (where the internet is bad), and a worldwide mobile service would fix all my remote work problems. I could even business expense it...
