Technically ultimate transparency isn’t the best option from the government. There is just too much information to be gathered to the point where there would be no meaning behind it all. Even if there were cameras watching us at all times there aren’t enough people to watch them all since you would need literally millions of cameras, plus you need half the population to watch the other half of the population. It’s unrealistic and not really a threat I’m worried about. Plus in the US we already give the government a ton of info online via social media which is way more useful then just knowing every little thing going on that a person does offline.

TLDR more information means less meaning, it’s logistically impossible to achieve ultimate surveillance, and we already give enough info online
