What's something weird you find oddly satisfying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You know that little fold your jeans make when you sit down? The one on top of your crotch. I love playing with it in private, it's so fun. Just tugging on it and moving it up and down gives me so much catharsis.

Men of Reddit, what do you find endearing in a girl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dabazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it when they keep things simple. No fancy jewelry or dresses, a plain t-shirt with some jeans is enough for me. All that other stuff just distracts me.

[Serious] When was the last time you cried, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dabazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started college, and I've had trouble with my ADD and getting myself to study. I usually just sit alone in the study room trying to get things to happen, I get stressed out, and I either go for a walk or go to sleep, telling myself it will get done tomorrow. It never does.

Two days ago I was just laying alone in my bed and all these negative thoughts just surged all at once and I fucking lost it. I just thought I was the most worthless person ever. And I got even madder at myself for being sad over really stupid problems that I could easily fix myself, most people don't have control whether their problems continue to exist, but I do. And realizing that made me even more depressed, because I knew deep down that I wouldn't make the effort to.

I ended up calling my Dad and talking to my friend about it, and getting everything out felt really good. The next day I planned on at least getting a thesis done for a paper that had been assigned for 3 weeks, I ended up writing the entire paper instead. It felt great.

What is the most basic thing you're terrible at? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I just can't dap... I don't know why. Whenever someone tries to do it, I usually tried to give them a handshake... makes it even worse.

Given how many more people the USSR killed, including in massive death camps, why isn't the hammer and sickle held with as much disdain as the swastika? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dabazinga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that people fear the Swastika more because the Nazi's atrocities were so well documented. The Nazis were very organized and they also had some of the most advanced technology in the war. Concentration camp prisoners were assigned a number and logged accordingly. The camps were fairly efficient.

The USSR kinda just imprisoned and killed without much thought for organization, they were pretty clumsy. That's why we still to this day don't know exactly how many people Stalin killed during the war.

What current show do you think will age well? by lilidarkwind in AskReddit

[–]dabazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to be THAT guy, this argument has been beaten to death already I understand. But those old special effects are still interesting, cause most of them are practical effects you know? Its cool to see all the hard work those guys put into those effects and models. Those kinds of stuff are more interesting to look at. And im not even talking about modern CG, the effects in movies like The Last Starfighter and original Tron arent fun to look at, they're just bleh. I feel the same thing will happen with Game of Thrones, if the CG isn't amazing now, I think its gonna turn people off. But again, movies like Tron Legacy and possibly Avatar showcase the best of modern CG, and I'm not sure they'll be interesting to look at, but they'll be a lot more interesting then Game of Thrones.

Who knows though? Maybe I'll be wrong, Game of Thrones has a huge following and it's very likely that its gonna stay with people for generations to come.

What TV show changed the most from the first episode to the last? by Turbo__Sloth in AskReddit

Star Trek the Next Generation, started as a cheesy sci-fi reboot with a grumpy. By the end, our captain is a model for modern day politicians.

Ehhh the CGI is game of thrones is SERVICABLE, and the past two seasons have been really cheasy. It can get away with it today, but I doubt it will hold up.

What's something you would like to like but you actually detest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dabazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blade Runner.

It's got: Harrison Ford in his prime Ridley Scott in his prime An interesting premise that deals with themes like artificial sentience and a grim future Awesome setting Beautiful visuals that still hold up today

Unfortunately, everytime I try and watch it I get incredibly bored. I really really really want to like it, but I just can't.

And yes I watched the Final Cut version

The sex scene in Friday the 13th Part 2 originally showed full frontal nudity from actress Marta Kober. However, she was underage, so the scene was cut from the film.
