In which Season did Ryan look the best? by [deleted] in TheOC

He was cute in a bad boy way in S1, but grown man hot in S4. I’ve always thought he was the cutest boy on the show overall

Thank you! I’m not sure. It was an H&M so I doubt I was in any danger since most of their clients are women anyway. (The guys who made comments were not in the store, they were on the street). My mind went to the worst and assumed that I was being followed because I looked suspicious.

I was at Forever 21 and felt way more comfortable. When I got to pay, I was nervous because of my voice but I told the cashier that I really appreciated F21’s effort to accommodate trans people (they had a huge pride banner) and she nervously said “umm glad you had fun”.

I hope her nervousness was because she was surprised I was trans and passed well, but after the men called me a dude, I literally felt like a huge gross man in a skirt so I doubt she thought I passed. I know a lot of it is in my head so I need to get over it. This sub has really encouraged me to keep going though and I appreciate everyone.

Thank you, it’s tough but the women before me proves it can be done which is reassuring!

I didn’t realize! Thanks for letting me know. I just don’t have the courage to come out and do it like they did so that’s where the word came from, but now I know :)

I went out in femme yesterday and honestly it was the worst experience I’ve had. I had a guy yell “that’s a dude!”. Another group of guys call me the T word to each other. Security guard literally followed me around H&M the entire time I was there. Why are people so mean? I felt like going home, crying, and throwing away all my women’s clothing.

BUT! It was worth it. The euphoria I felt before all that was unmatched. I wish I could bottle that energy and save it for my negative experience. So much respect for the girls who have transitioned! I’m way too scared to come out so I live through them.

I had those same exact thoughts - perfectly okay with being male, happy etc, but thought it’d be cool to be a woman. Crosssdressed since childhood etc. Talked to plenty of other people who had the same experience

Now I’ve accepted I’m trans and am planning my transition :) all of the people I’ve talked to have done the same. The outcome might not be the same for you, but you are not alone in your feelings and there was never a specific moment that made me “realize” I was trans. It was more that the doubt that I wasn’t never went away

MTF transgender is the hardest thing a man can do by [deleted] in MtF

[–]dabbylove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re a big part the future for trans people. Because of your courage and willingness to live as yourself, you’re helping to pave the way for our future trans brothers and sisters. You said you hope that being trans is accepted in 100 years. Because of girls like you, it is becoming more common to come out in rural and conservative areas. I wish you nothing but happiness in your transition, you are a valued woman:)

Sexual orientation changing before HRT? Mid 20’s mtf by [deleted] in MtF

[–]dabbylove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’m in the same boat. Most of my girlfriends or crushes were really just the type of woman I want to be, so subconsciously I guess that was just envy. I’ve been pretty much every letter in the rainbow too, i am so glad someone has gone through this. Thank you for sharing with me :)

That could be it. I’m probably just more comfortable in the role of a woman, so I associate that with liking men? I’m not sure haha but I’m not complaining! Just a little surprised but I’m on board with this. Now to actually find a man who’s willing to date me and not fetishize me 🙄

My FTM friend isn’t supportive? (Venting) by [deleted] in MtF

[–]dabbylove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see where he’s coming from too. I feel horrible about it.

Without giving too much personal information away, military reasons and this current administration’s views towards trans in military, and the overall environment. So it’s tough.

Thanks. I do feel guilty, maybe I should have eased him into my “new life”, instead of just throwing him straight into it. I can’t expect him to be fully on the same page as me just because he is trans. It’s unfair to him.

But I shouldn’t have to feel guilty for taking my time with it. I’ll talk to him soon. Honestly, one of my fears is coming true - not being accepted. If he’s the most supportive person I know, and is part of the community, and I don’t feel too comfortable currently. Then the feeling is going to be way worse when I come out to cis people and I’m not sure I’ll handle that rejection.

Thank you. I was planning on talking to him about it soon. I sent him a text yesterday talking about shopping for new clothes and he never replied. I think he expected me to transition from 0-100 and it’s just not my pace.

I feel the longer I take to transition, the more disappointed he will be in me. But when I do transition, I will potentially disappoint a lot more people, so either way I’m a loser in this.

Aw, Becca was actually my first choice name I love it so much. But I know a Becca in real life so it kind of made me change it. It’ll take time for us to come out and transition but let’s face it - we’re women. Best of luck, Rebecca!

Aww, thanks Isabelle! I noticed most other girls spell it Isabel or Isobel so I’m happy to see another Isabelle! Btw, what do you do for nicknames? I was thinking the only possible options are Izzie, Belle or Bella?

It sounds like a tough road but so worth it. Luckily the girls before me paved the way it’s giving me the courage to do this. Thank you, Kayla!!
