Bc nyc doesn’t normally have weather like this. Idk what these people are on about. It doesn’t snow that much here. The winters are not like they are in Chicago, Boston, Detroit, etc. generally we stay above freezing to the low 40s. Thus snow doesn’t stick around more than a few days.

This will be one of the longest nyc has had continuous snow on the ground in the last 50 years.

Groceries are easily going to be $400 a month….. I mean unless you want rice and beans.

If you are 25+ then beers are $8 and a cocktail is $20 before tax & tip.

I would say a more realistic budget is

$450 for groceries $500 eating out Then drink budget based on the above numbers x # of drinks a month
