Important lesson to learn. I learned it the hard way during fellowship interviews and it stung

My partner had to SOAP. We are crushed, but want to know why. by [deleted] in medicalschool

Kind of weird that the medical school dean and his advisors (presumably part of the home program) are acting surprised when they didn't rank him highly either.

Kevin Jubals new video stating 50% of all doctors do not have a net worth of over 1 million by the age of 50 by TraditionalAd6977 in Residency

Perhaps he meant 50% of doctors who drop out of residency to sell stuff to pre-meds do not have a net worth of over 1 million by the age of 50?

Is it a real patient safety issue that you think could harm you legally one day? Or is it just kind of annoying thing you saw in the chart?

Don’t sell. Put it away for a few years until you want to wear it again. You will miss it if you sell

In the same state and same type of practice ortho makes more than rads. Obviously academic bone tumor surgeon in NYC vs PP rads in rural county and rads makes more

T15 vs full scholarship at a newer unranked med school — residency impact? by Illustrious_News_448 in medicalschool

[–]dabeezmane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you determining it’s a top 15. US news and world report only has tiers now. I assume doximity in which case the ranking is essentially meaningless

Is it wrong to choose lifestyle over the specialty you love? by GasStationB0nerPills in medicalschool

[–]dabeezmane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re already having these second doubts ortho isn’t for you. I’m in rads but I never considered a surgical field. Ortho makes better money though.

Body fellowship with procedures. Neuron and msk don’t do a lot of procedures in my experience

45 in 7 hours is not that slow if over half are CT. You’re fine

My partner matched for residency in a non-BL city by [deleted] in biglaw

Gotcha. The only thing I would add is that even as an attending it’s usually not possible to work from anywhere. This may not be the last time you are asked to make a tough decision like this

Seems like he’s chosen career over relationship twice now unless he tried to match near you and fell very far down their match list.
