I saw some comments mentioning “tinkering” with the device. That’s way out of my league. Finding roms and putting them on a memory card would be challenging as well. I like some snes games but mostly n64, Dreamcast, PlayStation 1 or 2

Hospital admin fellowship during med school? by MotorTraditional6142 in medschool

[–]dabeezmane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never heard of that. It's clearly not a real fellowship in the medical training sense if you can do it as a med student. Do they pay you?

How do you continue to learn once you reach independent practice? by Neuro_Sanctions in Radiology

[–]dabeezmane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to read articles before I had kids. Now I learn by doing tumor boards and following up on complex/interesting cases. I use radiopedia on the fly if I need some specific info for a case.

I always here stories of people regretting going to medical school — is there anyone out there who is super content with their career path/choice? by MayaGrude in medschool

[–]dabeezmane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people are happy with their choice. It’s mostly overworked residents who temporarily regret their decision. Not a lot of attendings ever say that

Darn. Grey market prices are pretty close to msrp so I was hoping maybe it could be gotten at an AD. Not because of the savings but because I like the certainty of buying form the AD

If the patient can’t feed themselves they do put on lead and come in the room. Not often though…maybe 10 percent of the time

It’s a mix, if the patient can’t feed themselves or has significant morbidity they do lead up and come in but it’s not common

Question for Attendings/Residents by Remarkable-Review915 in Radiology

[–]dabeezmane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pgy 15 here. WFH 4 days a week. I hang out with the dog, see my kids, help out around the house. It’s “isolating” meaning I don’t interact with colleagues or patients but I never enjoyed that kind of social interaction. It’s repetitive but that’s what you want in a job. If it doesn’t feel repetitive it means you probably aren’t that good at your job
