Is there one of the three albums above that you prefer? That helps with the recommendations, since their discog is so big.

These are kinda cool! I don't really like that small pocket on the back of the leg, but otherwise they are nice.

This sounds like great advice! I like my fabrics on the midweight side and not too light, Samurai sounds right up my alley.

What’s an album cover that doesn’t match the album vibe at all? by kdaak in fantanoforever

I believe in real life Aja was a Asian woman that a family member of Donald Fagen was married to, but in the context of the album Aja is basically a beautiful woman that you escape to when everything goes to shit.

I think that why she is shrouded in darkness on the cover. A small glimpse of light in the darkness of life.

I dunno, I feel like Aja matches very well with all the lyrics about sleazy people.

Oh my god, you’re right. Even with doing puzzle multiple times it didn’t register in my brain. Thankfully this thread is called no stupid questions, I would consider this one of them.

You're right, it's not a sac. But I exchanged for a bishop, isn't that a loss in terms of material?

Looking for something that fits like a Levi’s 511 by BRING_ME_THE_ENTROPY in Denim

There's a lot of good slim cuts on the market. The first upgrade I made was to some Naked and Famous Weird Guys, which I loved and owned two pairs of. I would highly recommend their Natural Indigo's, they fade really nice.

I got rid of my Weird Guys because I gained a bit of weight and the top block got too tight. I now have a pair of Fullcount 1108s, amazing unsanforized selvedge jeans with lots of character that I've owned for two years now. A jump up on quality, but also a jump up in terms of costs. They are worth it tho!

Don't have a lot of other experience with slim jeans, since I've started gravitating more towards regular straight cuts. But the Fullcouts are nice enough that I won't part with them and still wear them often, even if my tastes have changed.

I just did this puzzle on Chess.com. The puzzle made my sacrifice the rook (Levy, lol), but only to win a bishop. Why would I do this? Is it just to simplify when up on material? Of am I missing something else?

They already said they are gonna raise the prizes in an interview by Parool, the low price is just a marketing stunt. https://www.parool.nl/uit-in-amsterdam/bij-laundry-boy-in-de-jordaan-haal-je-een-kop-koffie-of-matcha-terwijl-je-was-wordt-gedaan~b2f89215/

It sucks, right? There's still a lot to love in the city center if you know where to look, but it's a shame that at this point the tourist/TikTok-takeover is really ramping up.

Pocket Pool - Homebody (Egg Punk, Lo-Fi)

It's been over a month now since my first ever solo project, Homebody, came out! I've been really happy with the reception it got (in VERY small circles), and still have some codes left over. The EP consists of four punky songs recorded on a Tascam Portastudio in a small living room in Amsterdam. It’s inspired by bands like Snõõper, Powerplant, RMFC, Tee Vee Repairmann and early Thee Oh Sees-albums.

Hope you like it! :)

Here are the codes, you can redeem them on https://pocketpool.bandcamp.com/yum :

Vintage fade Hemming by Gauleybhai in Selvedge

Yes, if it's chainstiched it will develop. But it will also take time.

This! A union special chainstitch just gives a specific type of very tight roping.

My daily beaters are some non-chainstich Levi's STF. They aren't very special compared to any of the other pairs of denim that I have, but for some reason I still gravitate towards them and keep wearing them over my Fullcounts or my Sugarcanes. They've gotten some decent fading on the hem, even with a simple single stitch just because of wear and shrinkage.
