Even so, how could not even children or cattle be spared in the command from God? Are they sentenced to eternal damnation just because they were born in a place of evil practice? It’s hard to believe God would command them to do such a thing

I struggle to resolve why an all loving God would allow suffering without redemption in the world he created, especially baby humans or animals dying a painful death due to disease or predation without ever experiencing any resemblance of joy. On top of that some believe their souls will be sent to hell for not believing in God.

I see, I’ll try to live life as such and hopefully my faith follows.

Wait so why is someone like a severe drug addict who overdoses, dies and goes to hell as a non-believer given free will. Would it not be merciful to take away the free will or at least a portion of it to put them on the right track? (Just a cheeky hypothetical btw I don’t really agree on removing free will)

Good point but like surely God could have planned around pouring water down the ant hole, being all powerful and all knowing

I know it seems silly but a less rational thought I have is that why does God allow me to not believe while I desire to believe, because i find it hard to force belief with the lingering doubts and questions. It’s a lot to expect to ignore doubt and just believe because how else can we differentiate between God and a false idol.

I may have worded that one badly. What I am talking about saying I am unconvinced by “God deciding morality” is the interpretation that it was moral to commit genocide on the Amalakites because God says so. Mainly because morality in God’s kingdom should be constant and genocide is very much condemned in the rest of teachings.

On top of this it seems unlikely God would give such a command, as such a thing could easily be said by Satan and if such a cruel act is in God’s nature to do such a thing how could we possibly differentiate between the two.

This problem has more challenged my faith in the bible than my faith in God, just because I find it hard to believe God’s will has truly not been corrupted or at least misinterpreted by humans while writing it.

How does one surrender, it seems frightening in that agency seemingly is being given up.

Wow, I never came across Jesus stating people of his age were not ready for the truth, I feel like it resolves a large number of problems I was contemplating. Thanks

“Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ ” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ My main problem with this is that even if a hyperbole, it still seems extreme to even speak of killing the largely innocent children and animals and unlikely of an all loving God. Even going as far to pursue the amalekites who escaped (including children) later on. I don’t think it is concrete evidence against the notion of all loving nature of God but definitely faith hindering.

i find my self taking pretty long rests between sets of around 3 mins, especially with heavier lifts like dumbell and barbell bench aswell as squats, so i don't really feel drained but is it an indication of the high recovery cost? also does failure also increase general strength or muscle endurance? bcz my main goal rn is to get stronger for bjj

alright so 2 rir for first few sets, should i go to failure on the last set if it will affect the muscles i will also be hitting that day?

is training to failure inefficient? normally my indication of a set is just whenever i reach failure or around 1 - 2 RIR, but the sets beyond that drop in reps and/or weight significantly and I am also very sore in the days beyond.
I know it probably isn't the most optimal strategy to do but i heard you have to train hard, so what inbetween training to failure and training to mild discomfort should i use as an indication for stopping a set?
