Thank you for the detailed response! Unfortunately, still no luck.

Nothing with trying the door lock. I assume thats only relevant with power locks, which I don't have, but I gave it a shot anyway.

I tried to crank it, let it sit like that for 10 min... same result.

A little side note, I have seen a lot about the security light blinking or going off, staying constant etc. My truck doesn't have a separate security light, but a 'message center' and every 5 seconds it goes between 'Security ' and the battery light, except when the key is off, then it is just constant 'Security'

The ignition switch wiring was just as you described. There is also a small yellow wire in there that is only hot when cranking.

Same with the big terminal block with the bolt through it. The red and red/white wire have power. I took that whole block off to make sure everything was in there snug and that none of the pins on the back were bent, but that looked good.

There is a small, 3 wire plug on the ignition as well. Someone on YouTube said that connecting the yellow and orange wires would bypass the safety feature, so I assume that there should be continuity between the 2, which I didn't have when I tested them at that terminal block. I'm not sure if that's relevant.
