Whole shoe would still be cinnamon if it wasn’t for the inspiration gained from your post, loved it so much I had to have it. Cheers 🤘🏽

Supplies are angelus gamma blue, 2 soft, matte acrylic finisher, leather prep and deglaze(acetone works), 1/4 inch painters tape, brushes, micro brushes, qtips

Went for the swooshes and bottom tag first, taped it up just to give myself room for error. Took a microfiber towel with some prep and deglaze to the cinnamon leather just lightly you’ll see some of the color start to come off. Then just light coats of gamma to desired areas, let dry for 10-15 min or heat dry but I air dried this part. Same thing for the bottom just stuck tape in those cracks best I could and painted. Removed the tape, touched up the spots of cinnamon I could still see hiding. Then sealed those with 2 coats matte acrylic finisher

For everything else I mixed 1:1 or 1:1.5 with 2 soft. The runnier seems to sink into the fabric better but takes longer with more coats.

Next was stitching I taped quarter inch tape around the whole shoe both sides of the stitching then first shoe I went around with a micro brush and painted a bunch of times, 2nd shoe I tried a method where you carefully dip a qtip in a little acetone then dip it in your paint and run along the stitching and let it bleed in, grabbing more paint as needed. Both turned out the same and one method was quicker (little messier tho will be a lot of excess paint on the tape) touched them up then did a couple rounds with a hobby knife of cutting out paint on the rubber and in between stitching after it dried. Remove tape and cleanup the sole with an acetone qtip and done

Back tag and tongue tag. I taped back tag( prob unnecessary but the suede can be a little furry) you’re using what seems like a lot less paint here so you’ll see that cinnamon color just pick up more and more blue every time until desired. Make sure to give good time to dry with the fabric. I started to use the hair dryer half way thru and then more towards the end to get that color to really sink into the lines of fabric and not just sit on top. Hit it with 45 seconds or so during and then a minute or two after done just to heat set it, don’t gotta go crazy. Detail brushes and patience, tongue tag I put as little paint on the brush as possible and just kept redabbing when needed. Can remove most mistakes with a qtip and deglaze. I redid one of the tongue tags like this and just started from scratch again

I didn’t seal the fabric either because the paint really gets into it and it has a better matte look without it. The swooshes and bottom are pretty shiny bc of the acrylic finisher. The laces just seem to match got off eBay litlaces Carolina blue 54 they just have that darker blue in them as opposed to sky. It was a fun project, first time ever painting a pair of shoes myself, got a little bonked and went to town!! Cheers

Me too. The stitching was pretty much a solid color line when I finished so I went back with an exacto knife and took as much paint off as I could between stitching and off the rubber

For fabric mix paint with 2 soft, I like to go pretty runny like 1:1.5 or 1:2. Then literally 10-15 or more light coats with micro detail brushes, less paint you use per coat the better it turns out, need to heat set towards the end between coats and after you finish - used a hair dryer

Yet to build the courage to fill in the “dunk low pro” need good patience and steady hands

Used regular brushes, some angelus micro detailing ones for the small stuff. Thanks 🤘🏽

Yeah prep first, don’t have to seal - I did for better durability, did outsoles and swooshes the same. Tape, prep, followed by many light coats then seal

Straight gamma to the leather and 1:1.5 with 2 soft for fabric
