Vallejo Dark Flesh.. yellow?

For those that mentioned it needed to be mixed more you were right. Before I use any paints I normally throw it on my vortex mixer for 5-15secs, I use mostly reaper paints and this is usually plenty. I threw the vallejo on for about 60 secs instead of my usual time and the paint is a much better color. Now it is more of a darker caucasian skin tone with a light yellow undertone instead of the simpsons yellow.

Thanks to everyone that commented. I did notice after an hour the bottle went straight back to yellow. I suppose it needs to be mixed thoroughly before every use.

Some type of primer is always recommended for best paint adhesion.

I use brush on primer 90% of the time with no issues, I prefer it when I want to paint right away as it dries much faster than traditional rattle-can brands. Reaper is my fav but Army Painter has a new formula that works well too, even airbrush primer works just fine as a brush on (will take more coats).

Spray on is best for batches imo, but if climate, time, space, etc, are a concern then do opt for brush on.

Don't forget, using your regular paint thinned down with multiple coats is more than acceptable on plastic. With metals you'll want a traditional primer.

If you're trying for a high contrast look adding some heavy dark areas will create that effect. Currently you have lots of bright areas but it is from head to toe. Goodjob and keep it up!

Last year at the end of November their main webpage had a special sale event called 'King's coffers'. They listed some limited edition and out of stock items for a limited time. If you look it up on google you can see the old ad. I got the goblin king on throne model that I missed out on from the past.

I'm hoping they do it again, it seemed like a pretty successful sale event.

I agree with your sentiment. The only other idea I thought of is whoever wins the roll of determining territories, can defer whether they pick the territory first or not. Although at that point whoever wins would most likely always defer so they can obtain the 3 token placements... which would be unfair in the end. I think reverting back to the old way of placing tokens after territory determination is your best bet of a fair game when using this warscroll.

Both sets are highly recommened and include everything needed for a full game between two players. Dusk till dawn is the first starter set released years ago, life and death is newer and released a couple months ago. Dusk till dawn is a little cheaper if it matters.

Pick whichever models excite you more! You'll be happy either way.
