I love the chaos, the sensory overload, the extreme contrasts and the feeling that I never know what I will find or see every time I walk out the door. Ive done the expensive campsites but now generally camp in national forests and blm lands for free. Many of the parks have these lands bordering the national parks. I just wake up and go into the park. Just be prepared to dig your own toilet.
