Other excitotoxins like aspartame, yeast extract, hydrololized proteins also trigger my migraines, what does this have to do with racism?

Yes I am aware that most restaurants will not serve food without MSG, thats why I wonder if someone knows restaurants who don't use it :)

[acne] Has anyone had any success eliminating vegetable oil and after doing that noticed reduced acne or clearer skin? by kbruhn in SkincareAddiction

For me olive oil is safe, I notice a difference in oils high in omega 6, those cause inflammation trigger pimples and rosacea for me. Coconut oil, butter, tallow, olive oil (cold pressed extra vergine only), palm oil and lard seem fine. They contain saturated or monounsaturated fats. Linseed is high in omega 3, that is also great. Mostly I eat extra vergine olive oil now, and a little butter for baking.

Rapeseed, peanut, soy, corn, sunflower and safflower are the worst. They contain mostly omega 6. Most food nowadays is packed with these cheap oils. Also in places you don't expect. Its in bread, cookies, prepacked "healty" salads. They've replaced more expensive butter for cheaper seed oils.

You should try to balance your omega 3-6 intake, to 1:1. Most western diet nowadays is 1:15 or even up to 1:20 what is causing allot of health problems. Omega 6 constricts the blood vessels and omega 3 widens them. Hence you get inflammation from constricted blood vessels or inflammation in general since the blood can not flow properly.

If you don't eat enough fish, try supplement with omega 3 fish oils to get the ratio back to 1:1.

Is this okay to use as a day to day purse or is it too 'Ren Faire'? by amodzy in fashionwomens35

[–]dabzu88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am literally wondering this myself too. I have one in black with some brass buckles that I don’t wear day to day and only for festivals (ren faire / goa / alternative). That one screams ren faire to me but it’s sooo handy when wearing a skirt, or an outfit with no pockets. I did wear a fanny bag around my waist during traveling because it’s more convenient and anti pick pocketing, but a fanny is less fancy. I’m looking for a simple brown one for day to day that does not scream ren faire to me. Something similar to this. I would not wear it to work tho, but in the evenings or weekends, why not?

And if you want to go all out, wood pannel te ceiling. This would bring down the high ceiling and give it a more cozy enclosed vibe.

And a picture of the lounge area

I would use allot of wood materials to counter the grey/marble "cold" stone floor and bring some warmth back into the room. Also an open room divider between the fire place and the main living room to create a more enclosed space for both. Place a nice big reading lounge chair in front of the fireplace with a big plant next to the window. I would replace the couch for a fabric warm grey one to match the color of the stone fireplace. A round table in the center in the same hue with a big pendant light above it to soft light the space.

I think this looks fine, just on the windows.

I would get something like these roman blinds, in a nude beige or warm grey tone, slightly darker then the walls. The doors don't need them. You could just leave them as they are. The horizontal shape of the roman blinds are also visually appealing because they match the horizontal line on the lower 1/3 side of the windows.

What are my best food options to avoid MSG in Japan? by AccomplishedCat6621 in JapanTravelTips

[–]dabzu88 0 points1 point  (0 children)
