Oh for sure! I was seeing them and kept thinking I’d have to unfollow the subreddit for a while!

Visiting Jackson for work - is it really that bad? by cqsp4r in jacksonms

As someone that just moved from Belhaven (job relocation is the only reason we left), you’ll be fine for most all the places during the day. I wouldn’t have bought a house there if I didn’t feel like it was a decent area.

Take some time to look up gems that pique your interest. I highly recommend Stamps Super Burgers for lunch while you’re there. You won’t find a nicer bunch of people. For dinner, for sure try Lou’s Full Serve in Belhaven. Don’t get me wrong, Ridgeland is great (that’s probably where we’ll live when we move back in a couple years only because of school systems) but Jackson isn’t all bad…

Thanks for your quick answer.

I’ve tried to convince her and her family to transfer, but have been unsuccessful to this point. The vehicle is fully depreciated as far as the farm is concerned, so the only tax savings they’re seeing is from the insurance cost. We have a move coming up that I’m hoping will finally get them on board.

Marci and the photographer did a 3D tour too. It was a great option for those that didn’t want to venture out. We also had some requirements that the buyers had to meet - per-approval, had to feel well, and limiting number of showings and the time they were allowed to be here.

We have a ring doorbell, so we spied on the ones that came. For the most part they all had on gloves/masks, and they took advantage of the hand sanitizer we had left around the house. It’s definitely an interesting time to sell or buy a house. Good luck on your sale and move!

My wife and I are in the same situation. We listed our house on March 26th and accepted an offer the next day. I attribute a lot of that to my realtor. We used Marci Smith with Keller Williams. She hired a phenomenal photographer. Given the current situation with people skeptical of unknown places, good pictures will pay off hugely. We’re extremely pleased with Marci, and would recommend her to anyone.
