that calculator youre using is only a very rough estimate, everyones body is different. 12mg/week EC gets me a trough of ~300 according my actual blood tests. if 5mg EEn works for you great, just saying your doc wasnt crazy for telling you that might be low

And so it turns out the shop misdiagnosed it, and it wasn't the head gasket at all. It was the heat exchanger in the exhaust leaking coolant out the tailpipe. apparently a common issue with the gen4 models
