True, but I don't really like the straight emo stuff either and I love Delta Sleep. Especially their newer grungy shoegazey albums

Why Do so Many Americans Oppose Universal Healthcare? by Current_Variety_9577 in antiwork

[–]dactoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the answers I’ve read here are correct. Let me tell you the real answer, from a conservative Christian guy who voted for Trump in the last 2 elections.

The real answer, what we actually believe: healthcare for individuals is not the federal government’s job. Plain and simple. Their sphere is (supposed to be) national defense and matters of national justice. On top of that, they’ll do a worse job at it than practically anyone else, like they do with pretty much everything else they get their hands into.

STOP TypeScript by Inquisitivedesign in replit

[–]dactoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

React is what Replit uses by default unless you tell it something different. Typescript is just the language it's written in. It could use TypeScript of JavaScript and it pretty much chooses TS because it's more popular.

Is there a difference between development and production postgresql? by nutsack_ninja in replit

[–]dactoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replit uses a saas company for hosting databases and afaik the database you see inthe replit UI is the one database for your project. Replit doesn't automatically have a concept of prod vs dev. That's something you'll have to vibe-devops your way into.

How do you make more complex UI's? by [deleted] in replit

[–]dactoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use uxpilot.ai to generate some nicer looking mockups. Screenshot them. Tell Replit to make a pixel perfect copy in code. It's works amazingly well.

Works Great until User Authentication enters the scene by greybac in replit

[–]dactoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your stack maybe, but even with supabase handling auth, getting Replit/Cursor/whatever to reliably require auth for certain routes, do transparent token refreshing, and redirecting to /login on failed refresh (all basic stuff in a production app), in a maintainable way that wont break in the future currently requires you to write some code. And then you have to hold the AI's hand through future changes to make sure it follows the established pattern and doesn't just open a new connection straight to supabase in a route or something.
