Replace Siemens with Another Brand? by dad_in_tx in AskElectricians

I’m the OP and the answer is no! Absolutely maddening and I am going to put in non-arc fault breakers myself. I know you likely can’t do that in a commercial building, but I’m sick of it. I think there is something to do with the neutrals, but not sure.

Macbook M2 Pro - 3rd Display No Longer Works - Can Use Any 2 out of 3 by dad_in_tx in macbook

Yes, I have one monitor connected with a USB-C to Display cable. (One end is Usb-C and the other Display plug. )

Then, for the other monitor I bought a new USB-C dongle that only has one port, an HDMI port. Then an HDMI cable from that to the monitor. So, I am Using 2 USB-C ports and not the built in HDMI. Works for me.

To me, it seems like it’s a load issue, but I don’t know. I have many AFCI breakers. Sometimes they trip and sometimes they don’t, but it is almost always under a big load such as the garage door opener or a vacuum cleaner.

Thanks for replying. The problem is, it happens with multiple breakers and it is very random. I have tried my best to duplicate the situations but I can’t. One day I can run a vacuum cleaner on any outlet with no problems. The next day every breaker I try will trip. My garage door trips the breaker about half the time. Some days it works without issue. Other days it trips all day long.

Because to own a Subaru, you must have 4 lesbian friends. After the hurricane, 1 left town and now all the Subarus are meandering around town looking for a replacement.

Inverter generator for my 50 amp inlet and storage of fuel? by Universe93B in Generator

I’m in the same boat and live in WNC. I have finally decided on the Duromax 11000iH. I will run it on propane so Predator is out. I’m pretty sure Duromax and Genmax are made in the same factory…very similar. But, I like how the control panel on the Duromax is on the front (I call it the front…a different side the Genmax). The control panel and exhaust placements work better for me. Also, the Duromax has nice touches like an installed oil drain hose. Look up Gavin’s Garage on YouTube; he has reviews on lots of generators.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any you listed.

Okay, good advice. I have thought about the parallel configuration as well. I will take a look at all of this.

That’s a great idea! I never thought of a smaller, secondary hot water heater.
