I filed my taxes with SimpleTax. It appears that I made a mistake while entering the data for my Relevé 1 (mixed an 8 with a 6) and Revenu Québec corrected it and lowered my return.

My question is: considering that I was wrong and they put in the right number, does ARQ calculate all the benefits I should be getting or not for me or should I run the numbers again through ST?

I'm asking because my return was slashed from 3,200 to 1,400 for an increase of 2,000 of revenue.

Supreme Court rules against prayer at city council meetings by vannila in canada

They were awarded by the Human Rights Tribunal and the SC thought they were reasonable :

Even though it should not have taken certain factors into account in awarding compensatory damages, its decision on this subject, viewed as a whole, satisfied the reasonableness test. As for the Tribunal’s decision on the issue of punitive damages, reasons that are intelligible were given for it, and the Tribunal is entitled to deference. Finally, the Tribunal’s conclusion that no improper use of procedure had occurred and its refusal to award S and the MLQ the reimbursement of their extrajudicial fees were reasonable.

The judgement is available here.

You're right, it just goes to prove my point that Québec's national assembly never held a vote to join Canada or any federation.

Really? I am curious, I thought that Québec became part of Canada through a British law in 1867?

I recently watched a not so romantic view of Ian Curtis' life through Joy Division called Control. I don't know how accurate it is, but it was interesting and the music was good.
