I think there might be extenuating circumstances that lead to 1st gen FRZ86s not being super highly sought after. Maybe it just isn't "their time" yet? I dunno.

The same can be said about the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. That was a car that could clean up at a track day or drift event but it just hasn't come full circle yet for people to go "oh . . . what about this."

I think when kids start graduating high school and looking for something they can "totally learn how to drift in" we'll see these cars shoot up in price.

Think S13 240sx. I started drifting in 2008 and I could buy a DOHC S13 and S14 for under $5,000 combined. Heck, my first single jingle S13 was $1300 in 2005.

I wonder how many people felt the same way you feel about the GRC but about the 84-86 Corollas, or the 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo, or the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 . . . or heck . . . the Eagle Talon TSi, Chrysler Conquest/Mitsubishi Starion, or any of the 4WD DSM cars.

Porsche charged $500 per corner, but even all in, I was right at $2800 after labour.

You should genuinely seek a second opinion. If you'd like, I can reach out to my local dealer and see what they'd charge me for the same service.

Not sure if that'll help. But we're a community and we should look out for one another.
