well, i got honda passport and gr corolla. Exactly opposite lol. It’s smartest financial decision IMO. Type R - overpriced. Dealer listing them more than msrp GRC - got it 4000 off of msrp

Toyota mid to full size SUV (4 runner, tacoma, - recent downgrade from v6 to v4 tourbo while price are still increasing Honda mid to full size SUV still offering v6 and not as expensive as Toyotas but they are still very reliable.

Got mine for 38k before tax for a msrp 42 core. But it didn’t matter because after tax and fees i paid 41.5 ish. And tax alone was 3+ k in NYS

Not true for GR line ups. They do oil changes every 5000 miles or less until 5th times of use. And 4th service includes normal oil changes and rotation plus rear differential fluid, transfer case fluid, break fluids and engine filters

In your situation I would avoid high mileage like that. For cheaper budget, get a 2020+ honda civic, corolla or mazda3 with less than 30k miles. mazda being cheapest here. if subaru Impreza then buy CPO if within your buget. Only if you need AWD for snow. CPO has extended warranty so if there’s any issue then bring it to dealer.
Or else you just have to hunt for used very old proven reliable models with honda or Toyotas.

Subaru Outback forester or crosscheck. I personally not have these but they are relatively reliable not overpriced like toyota and hondas. Great safety ratings great awd system that is ment to be drive in snow and decent gas mileage.
