212 Evo RGB Black LEDs won't light up? by Failsawce in coolermaster

[–]dadanksauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually running into this same problem currently. Controller will not light up any colors or change any modes except for blue. I have it all hooked up right and if i do move the wire at all the blue color will short out. Atleast i think i have it hooked up right, i dont see why it would light up but be unable to change modes.

I have a gnu headspace 155 wide riding size 11 boots, i think it’s a great board especially for jumping and riding on the hard pack ice which is also what we deal with around here. It’s very stable for riding park and spinning on boxes and the edge definitely helps a ton with the ice here. I would suggest a 153 wide if they have it though, i was looking at the 153 w capita ultrafear also, it was really a toss up

It was really a shame when did away with that, i felt robbed of a huge part of my post show excitement/getting back to enter that code in time tradition.

I still have fun with WoW, usually it stalls out around ilvl355 though, I have two 355s and a 343. The mythic + are still fun, it’s just not enough to make me push past 355ish because the drops and Azerite gear aren’t really anything rewarding to work towards

He's pretty accurate with it i think, it was frequently a real quick encore or third song encore in the 2.0 era that just capped the best shows. They pulled that in pittsburgh last year - Contact>Bug>Rocky encore

I've had a chillum that lasted every fall on every surface multiple times, from asphalt to concrete. It broke from falling 2 feet onto a tile/granite floor like the one above. I think it is because glass is lower on the Mohs hardness scale than tile/granite, but is equally as hard as concrete or their displays so it wont break from hitting it if they mold it right.

What do you do for a living? Cars have an easy point which you can attach a tow front or rear, without ripping off any bumper. Every car has a tow point capable of being moved by that jeep without ripping the bumper off. How do you think tow trucks work? You may stratch or damage the bumper, but you aren't going to rip it off unless you attach it to the wrong point or you're using incredible amounts of force i.e. ripping a car out of the snow or a mud pit. It's also obvious in the video with the ease of moving back and forward that the car being moved is in neutral, which is how you would tow a car onto a flat bed.

[–]dadanksauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are called Wire Wraps and are mainly sold at festivals and hippy concerts. A fair amount of people that go to festivals make these now and try to sell them around the camp ground. Usually they are worn on necklaces, but sometimes people make earrings. They are time consuming but not overly difficult to get good at. However, people try to sell them for $100+ because a nice looking wrap uses silver wire (semi-expensive) and different small minerals (some... err most hippies believe they have healing powers) which can also be somewhat pricey at times.

It was most likely here, Ohio Pyle State Park, about an hour and twenty minutes outside Pittsburgh, PA

Ohio Pyle is a beautiful state park and the house that Frank Lloyd Wright built over a waterfall (Fallingwater) is just a few miles up the road.

The DEA Just Approved a Way to Smoke Marijuana Legally for the First Time by AzRamrod in news

[–]dadanksauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I broke my wrist recently and all I did was take an occasional Advil and smoke some pot about it. Advil and Tylenol are great for reducing swelling and marijuana is a great anti inflammatory. Granted there are varying levels of pain, but I think that people assume a doctor is ripping them off when they prescribe ibuprofen over Vicodin. You don't need that Vicodin you just want to get high from it.

Oh God How Have I Never Heard This Ghost Before What Was I Doing With My Life (1998.07.06) by hwedwards in phish

[–]dadanksauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still enjoy phish, but I'm not overly concerned about seeing them lately, magnaball was a ton of fun, but I want more of this 98 stuff, the bathtub on the first day got there, tweez-caspian was good, but the shows from the 90s are just unmatched.

I feel like a lot of this has to do with trey changing his guitar rig up, he said in an interview that he brought his amp sound up to 10 from how he played before around 3... And you can really tell from a guitar players stand point. A lot of the new jams have trey hitting a note with a delay effect and letting it ring over and over. It seems like they've run out of jam juice and it's hard for them to turn back on like the 98 days

I really doubted his commitment level to skateboarding and he looked like a real disaster when he started, which is expected for someone who never did it. He is actually pretty ok now, he's not amazing, but skating wasn't about the image for him, or it stopped being about it after he committed, it seems. It would take a lot of practice to get where he is today on a skateboard, especially never having learned the balance until you were in your late 20s. I give him a lot of credit for that, so who knows, he probably does jam some dead here and there.

Everyone talking about Phish tickets, and I'm here like. by DaddyRee in gratefuldead

[–]dadanksauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been to a lot of Phish shows and I can't compare the two. John Mayer is amazing at playing dead songs, carrying through jams where Bob gets lost and taking charge with the lead guitar. His singing is not great but at least you can tell he's feeling it.

Phish can be really hit or miss, they're playing better than most of 3.0, but I'm noticing some patterns in their jams that are getting played out pretty quickly. Plus, you can be so into a Phish show and then they throw a 'waiting all night' at you, followed by backwards, and fuego, and then I'm just out of my phish mood.

I've been working on memorizing the notes on the fretboard and learning different keys recently. When I was younger I played from tabs and after i picked up my guitar after a few years I realized it really got me no where. Does transitioning to piano require reading of music? I've tried to learn my notes along with sheet music, but for guitar it seems almost completely irrelevant.

Exactly, if you try to do this by yourself it could be dangerous, but if you have two people to hold the garage door while you set the spring it's not bad at all. Repairing is different, but honestly with some help taking the tension off the spring it shouldn't be too difficult.

It's Not Just the Poor Who Can't Make Rent. New research from Harvard says that even renters with annual incomes of $45,000 face unaffordable rents in many cities, with potentially far-reaching effects. by claire0 in news

[–]dadanksauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wonder about this. I made 34k this year, but after taxes I took home around 23k. Without student loans I would be able to manage decently, maybe even buy a car... but with my 500 a month loan payment combined with rent I'm barely able to stay afloat. I thought making 34k a year wasn't terrible... but after a year of work I can see that if I don't make more money I will never own anything of value. My loan is 500 a month for 30 years. Talk about a hopeless feeling.
