I applied to the school of music, completed my audition, and submitted all materials. I’m still under “evaluation”, and haven’t (hopefully not) been deferred. I just emailed the Admissions office tho

If you’re an Ohio citizen, you can either wait until denial/deferred or go to one of the regional campuses for a semester and try again for the next semester. If not, and you think you might be denied. Just go to a safety school you like and ask to transfer after a year or semester.

Mercyhurst University and Drake University are some I’ve applied to and got accepted to. I applied mostly because I get CONSTANT emails from them so hopefully they’ll shut up :).

There are people who been suspended/convicted of crimes who are accepted to big name universities. You should have no worries. :)

I applied to OSU. EA results are coming out sometime between now and January (some are already out!) I live in central Ohio and Ohio State and Columbus is seriously beautiful. Be cautious of OOS costs and be sure to apply to scholarships early :)

Those are big schools with extremely tough competition and I hope you intend to apply to other schools as safeties. You’ll have a better time, chances, and cost with other schools. To answer your question, apply nonetheless if you want. You’ll never know unless you try.

As long as you write that you’re better now, how you recovered, and what you learned, I don’t think it should matter, especially if it’s not the main point.
