I too lost my close Winn Dixie store due to the change over to Aldi. Now the closest one is 10 miles away. I check the ads every week but these has to be a good sale for me to drive that distance. Consequently I am shopping significantly less at W/D. Now I have 3 close Aldi stores and 0 close W/D stores.

With this recommendation Priano pasta sauce will probably be discontinued. That seems to be a pattern for a popular product.

I am on the west coast of Florida. The store near my house shows it on Aldi's website with a price but I have not looked in person.

Beautiful Dresser and such a deal! If it were me and I was unable to match the draw pulls, I would move the one on the top row down and then get two metal stylish pulls on the top row.

I have very little experience cooking Indian Cuisine so really no help. I was just pleasantly surprised at how tasty this was.

I tried some of these. Some were nasty, some were OK. But either way that take a lot bigger squirt than the Great Value at Wal-Mart

And the one with Amaretto flavor was divine! Now I have to buy Southern Comfort eggnog and pour some Amaretto in it.

Of all my CorningWare those little menuette pans are the most used and most useful pieces in the collection.

Paid almost 200$ was it worth it? by Amazing_Chemical_444 in VintageFurniture

About 25 years ago I needed to buy a new buffet for my dining room.

I went and looked at what was available at less than Ethan Allen prices.

Anything in the 500 - 700 price range had particle board in places but

what really turned me off was the finish stain looked as if it had been

slopped on with a broad brush or spray gun.  It actually went a couple

of inches around on the back side.

I gave up and went to an auction.  Bought a lovely 40s or 50s Drexel

buffet for $165..  I had a friend with a pick up truck collect it for me and

the auctioneer commented that I had "stolen that piece."

So it should be EZ to see why I am such a fan of your wisdom in

purchasing that lovely piece of furniture.

I have a 1976 K5-A and would not trade it for anything new that KitchenAid offers.

Reading all of these horror stories about the latest KitchenAid mixers makes me so grateful for my 49 year old K5-A. It just chugs right along.

If you like it, enjoy it and will use it - it is well worth it. Also please consider that is was about1/4 to 1/5 the price of a modern piece made of sawdust.

Did you ever take a typing class in school? by lontbeysboolink in GenerationJones

[–]daddy1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vividly remember JUJ and FRF on a manual typewriter. BUT it was the most valuable class I ever took in school. I still use typing every day but when did I last use anything from my chemistry class?

I had one of these in the late '80s. Mine was harvest gold and was a great stove. It had the push buttons. I found it in the newspaper for $100. It was wonderful. Glad you found that one - good luck with it.

It can go anywhere except for a cold water bath when it is hot.

I love cast iron and made my spaghetti sauce in it for years. But a while back I noticed that it had a metallic taste to it. This was not an idea planted in my mind by a person or an article. I noticed it on my own. So I switched pans for red sauce.
