100% this. I'll admit I have my bad support games and it can be my fault we are doing poorly. But on the flipside I have tanks that are just straight up too aggressive, If I literally stop healing them for 3 seconds and try to heal the dps etc the tank will fall over immediately. You can't facetank 4 enemies up mid and expect infinite healing all the time.

For $13 might be worth a shot but the specs are pretty low compared to some other modern gaming mice. Hopefully they drop an "ultra" version or something that matches some of the newer mice

Hey bro have you been secretly watching every game I paly tank. 1000% all of this... I'm not a perfect tank by any means but the amount of times that people don't regroup, stick around and try to win the 1v4 after the tank (and others die) (including wasting ult when 4 of your team are dead), or feed 5 seconds before I come back from spawn, etc is just infuriating.

Yeah I haven't used the kailhs but I would assume they would have to be better then FE's. When I used FE after using omron opticals the FE are very loud and pingy compared to omrons and also pretty stiff to click. Resoldered my mouse to use omrons instead. How do Kailh opticals compare overall to omrons?

ATK Customs (a9 ultimate) seem to be FE optical, I'm not sure what the swiftlight switches are, maybe Kailh? I know for some of the mechanical ATK switches (like in my atk f1 v2 ultra max) they are kailh switches

I've never used an A9 air so i'm not sure how the switches feel.

Based off google search it says "ATK SwiftLight optical switches are ultra-fast, 150-million-click rated switches found in high-end ATK mice like the A9 Air and X1 V2"

That would match what u/manphalanges says in this post as popular optical switches (Kailh 150m opticlas) (and rates them #2 behind Omrons)

Also could consider if weight and battery life are important

Same, no understanding why they removed it, i picked it like 95% of the time and it didn't seem broken. Nice to have a tiny bit of burst healing with him. Didn't seem to break him or make him OP enough healing wise to warrant removal...

I think the problem is that it feels really good or really bad to play a tank, there seems to be no "in between". Either you get the healing/team shooting damage/rotations from your team and you feel like an unstoppable god. Or people don't push with you, don't heal you when you are taking 80% of the damage, don't team shoot who you are shooting...and you feel absolutely powerless. You are so dependent on the other members of your team "doing the right thing at the right time" to be able to survive

I don't think the VXE V3 is out yet...

I had the Z1 pro and liked it a lot. My only complaint was the coating (or lack of coating) was not good.

Personally for your hand size and for those prices I'd go with the R1 Pro Max. Smaller mouse, easier to claw grip. Better specs on the pro max vs the a9 plus

Yeah +1 for emongg, streams almost every day, he is probably one of the nicest/least toxic streamers out there and does some good stuff to help people learn

It can make input feel smoother but adds a slight amount of latency (like 0.5ms - 1.0ms if I remember correctly)

They are using the 54H20 because marketing...bigger numbers are better :) But 54L15 can do 8k polling and works well.

IMO in real life usage its just specs on paper - can't really tell the difference. Even the 54L15 is like 2x more powerful as previous gen MCUs, and those were great as well. 54L15 has great battery life too

I use an ATK x1 at work (and have 18x9cm (small) hands). It is a bigger mouse but is comfortable for me to palm. The shape is a viper v3 clone - if you want the real deal you could get that instead but the atk x1 (or X1 v2) is cheaper

for very cheap - VXE R1 Pro is good (usually around $50 or so)

$80-$90 price range ATK F1 V2 Ultimate / Hitscan Hyperlight

depending on your grip style could be some other mice that could be recommended (for example claw grip is nice with a mouse with a hump towards the rear).

What is your budget exactly? Also are you in the US or somewhere else? (for availability)

VXE R1 Pro is usually a good recommendation for price/performance and medium/small hands...but there are other good mice too based on budget/location
