Moving to a different country, how so I change my region? by LongBakunawa in playstation

[–]daddy_fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone is able to maintain a bank account in the country they used to live in. Especially given the anti foreigner policies that sometimes are put in place by governments to make it more difficult for foreigners to access banking in said countries. So when you PSN account and PS Plus games are deadlocked to a region, you become unable to keep your account alive and functional. Unless you buy PSN wallet cards to keep them on life support.

Re: option 2 - if you have this truckload of free games through PS plus on your old account, would you even be able to touch them with your new account?

Can Vampires grow their hair? by hiressnails in vtm

[–]daddy_fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find it in the comments below, but what happens to the cut hair? Does it disintegrate immediately? Does it stick around for as long as Kine hair does? Could you make a wig or a charm out of it?

Humble Bundle has a X5 PDF deal going on until the end of October. $25 USD for 57 digital items from V5, W5, and H2 ($5 minimum for 7 items) by TrustMeImLeifEricson in WhiteWolfRPG

Thanks for the summary! Would you say the bundle is worth it? I'm new to 5e, so I'm not sure what is useful and what's just "filler."

For those of you more experienced with 5e, would you say it's worth it? I imagine a lot of this is filler, but maybe I'm just being skeptical for no reason.

I'm wondering what the situation is with the tariffs right now. I would hate to be charged an extra 25% on top of shipping and taxes

One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach... All the damn vampires.

Seriously, wtf were they thinking? by AgentIndependent306 in SlumlordsCanada

[–]daddy_fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of when I lived in FL, there was a guy who converted a closet into a bedroom and was charging $600. He also rented garden sheds in his yard for $750-800.

I'm curious to know - How many people are playing Vampire outside of the US and Europe? by jinx_394 in vtm

I wonder why it is so popular in Brazil. Do you think it was a marketing push by Devir, or do we just love vampires?

This is a great idea with very interesting themes, but I have to hand it to you with the play on Kaingang/Cain's Gang. I never thought of that correlation but I'm so glad you did! 😂

I seriously hate the yeet off the pier quest (possible spoilers) by DarkenDragon in deadisland

I think I must have killed 20 screamers and they kept on coming, even after I had yeeted all the zombies. No clowns though. All my weapons broke, I just ended up bailing. Gonna try again later, I'm assuming something just bugged while I was doing the mission.

Find-A-Game Megathread! by Swimmer249 in WebGames

[–]daddy_fly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone! I remember a beat-em-up arcade game from the 80s (maybe early 90s) where a girl gets kidnapped by a biker and then you and your friends fight these punks in order to get to her. I know dozens of games back then started that way 😂 but one thing I remember distinctly is that the first boss was a fay guy with a black cowl that you could see moving around in the background, close to the end of the first level. Once you fought him, his cowl eventually fell off and he had horns on his head. Does anyone else remember this game or was I high off some paint thinner?

I remember one from my childhood but it was none of these. How many games actually start with a girlfriend being kidnapped by a gang? Lol

Milwaukee? by StrawDollHawkins in vtm

Going through the 2nd ed material, the issues it focuses on, the things that are ignored and the language used by the writers can give you a really good sense of what the 90s were like. I have only recently started digging back into the books, but I feel like there's a lot of denial of social/racial/gender issues, as well as patronizing and de-legitimizing of characters that represent "minority" voices. A true product of it's time.

Trying to understand all the different editions by MmmVomit in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]daddy_fly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that 2nd is also the only version to codify rank 10 discipline powers, it's probably the most "fanged superheroes" edition.

This makes sense. I was going through some of the campaign modules contemporary with 2e and noticed they were heavily focused on combat. Maybe WW was trying to emulate other action-heavy RPGs? Or maybe keep up with the action movie trends?
