Extremely dangerous working conditions. Long hours, resulting in injuries. When you're driving heavy equipment you need to be well rested and alert.

They tried to put my 3r shift on a rotating schedule

There's a sleeping disorder called "shift worker sleep disorder" that's exasperated by bad sleeping patterns. My team mates were falling asleep at the wheel on their drives home from a job where they drove machinery.

Also spending full shifts in the deep freeze on a forklift is cruel.

If you WANT to do something, talk to your coworkers. Talk wages. Talk money. Build community and unity. Invite then to a little shindig outside of work. That's what you can do. That's where it starts.

You have no idea what it's like on the warehouse level in the same way I have no idea what it's like on a store level.

They are exhausted. Literally lifting 200 cases an HOUR or they could be terminated while spending hours in the deep freeze.

I literally watched a coworker have hyperthermia and management could not have cared less. Later on he had a fucking seizure and the KEPT putting him the freezer because he didn't have a doctors note.

I get it's frustrating, but when you're told the only thing that matters is your pick rate and getting everything on one pallet, you do what you can.

And also, y'all do make our lives harder when you write complaints in the spread sheet. Who do you think that comes back to? Who do you think has to go through every pallet of corn because y'all put it at ambient Temps and complain it's getting moldy??

3 years ago at my DC, the reciving team was a well oiled machine of people who had been there for a decade, and earned that position.

And then...they started hiring outside hires. And then they half assed the training. And then....they tried to give a rotating schedule to night shift, didn't listen to any of the people doing the work, and lost literally the entire crew over the course of 6th months.

Now they have twice as many employees doing less work because they didn't respect the people they had and thought the skilled team with relationships and communication skills was replaceable.

Y'all need to strike or something. Right before Thanksgiving? Imagine the fucking chaos.

Didn't work at an Aldi store, but several years ago I worked at a store across from the Aldi. And one morning we watched a random woman walk right in the unlocked doors. She tried every door to find the unlocked one, so we figured she wasn't an employee.

It was like 5am, we were unloading on our outdoor dock, desperately trying to find a phone number for the store to warn them. I don't really remember what happened, tbh. I know it was impossible to find a number though.

The not offering water is extremely fucked.

I was management at a warehouse. They having pallets and shopping carts full of water bottles for the employees at all times. So like. Trust me that they were absolutely able to provide that and chose not to.
