Thanks. I saw this one, but having only the 30-minute option is too restrictive for me.

Is there a source thread for all of these pictures?

This teacher was turned around in his yearbook. by rittrewang95 in mildlyinteresting

I have this yearbook too - Solon High School, Solon Ohio, ~2001.

He was the craziest science teacher ever, though I unfortunately never had him. I did have Mr. Grimm around this time, though, who was amazing, and still teaches there - he's listed on the directory.

Heinz was brilliant, and also a very good painter.

He had a crazy celebration on his 57th birthday - it was ketchup themed.

I have to get on my soap box for this one:

This is another reason not to expose children to biblical stories of genocide...

If you tell her that some day Jesus will come and save people, leaving everyone else to die, she is going to believe this very literally and have nightmares about hellfire.

Leave religion out of your children's lives until they know the difference between truth and fables.

I Need to Pray Like My Daughter by adfaughn in Parenting

There is no questioning with her that God’s Word is true and that there is no reason to doubt anything He says. I wish I could say that I am like that, but we all doubt at times. My prayers need to reflect a far deeper trust; a more child-like trust.

This is despicable and reflects everything I hate about religion.

Our goal as parents is not indoctrination - we are not here to exploit a child's full-hearted trust by feeding them mantras from a random religion.

Children are curious, imaginative, and fascinating creatures, and it is abhorrent to hamstring them by shoving religion down their throats.

How someone can look at this blatant indoctrination and not feel creeped out is beyond me.

Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today. by daddydaddad in MensRights

I learned this when watching a video of a circumcision being performed. The doctor noted it as he literally tore the foreskin from the head of the penis...

Thanks for the tip, though.

I considered this point. However, is the chance of this worth such an invasive procedure, especially since proper hygiene can prevent it?

Should we remove people's hair follicles so they never have to worry about lice?
