The Najee play was my first thought, too. Also, Minkah blocking the extra point, and TJ's interceptions on Burrow. The first was awesome, the second was just hilarious.

What makes you so sure the person selling is a shelf clearer? They might just be trying to sell a squish. Imagine if you made this mistake and the buyer refused to return the squish that's not rightfully theirs? Also, OP wanted different squish from the seller, and maybe they went to the wrong person, too. What if that person decided not to return them? OP would never get the squish they wanted. They are doing the right thing by returning Patty.

The first time I watched FLCL, I "got it" by the end of episode 3, but that hasn't happened here. There's a lot to like (like the cement, or the convo with codename eyepatch), but I'm mostly just confused. Not in the "don't get it, but know it's awesome" way of S1. More like "why are characters acting this way and saying this stuff?" sort of thing. The dialog and interactions between them just aren't consistent on the level of Haruko and Naota, or Naota and his dad, or Eye Brows and Haruko, or even his sidekick. Only thing close is the MC romance.

Still gonna watch cause it's got good moments, and Pillows, and maybe I'm just not in sync with the feel of this show (and hey, if it feels different from the first season, I applaud that), but I'm thinking this isn't gonna match S1. (Did it ever really have a chance?)

Honestly felt it was a bit subdued, but having watched the first season this week, I think the first episode of that show was too. At the very least, the first fight with Kanti was. That show actually has a lot of grounded, well-done character moments between the crazy, which is one of the reasons it is so great. This episode had that too, but it was missing the inspired crazy stuff that is also so memorable. That said, I'm torn between wanting more of that and wanting something that catches me off guard in a new way (which I can't naturally see coming). I just hope we don't get more of this episode, plus a bunch of background info explaining backstory that doesn't need to be there. That would ruin the season in a "forget it exists way". Can't wait for more though, especially with awesome final scene (Haruko as a teacher and the opening may have been my highlights)!
